This is a great location with great views. The staff was very friendly as well! But, the room seriously smelled like a can of frebreeze and it stunk up our clothes, hair …everything. The towels were scarce and were worn out. Other than that, the location and setting is wonderful. Unfortunately, the smell was a problem.

This hotel was the icing on the cake for my trip to Portugal. It is on the Gaia side and in my opinion, the best location for a stay in Porto. It is right on the bank of the Douro river with a spectacular view of Porto. It is located above a very busy restaurant but there is absolutely no noise disturbance if you keep your windows closed. We had #30 on the 3rd floor that is a river view. It has one bedroom, a spacious bathroom, a living room with a pullout bed and a small kitchenette with plenty of dinnerware. There is no balcony but the windows open for great views and fresh air. I would absolutely stay here again and would recommend it to all my friends who visit Porto. It’s a short walk to the Dom Luis bridge that you can cross over to Porto. Everything about this boutique hotel is top notch and compared to the tiny overpriced and overrated hotel room I had in Lisbon, this was luxurious. Service was very friendly but keep in mind that this is not a regular hotel so don’t expect daily room service. King size bed in the bedroom with plenty storage. I loved the thoughtful lamp with a tray to hold jewelry, keys, etc. They have a safe in the closet.
