Good location but bad service
The service was very very bad. I fell from my scooter trying to park it, because they didn’t have a ramp and no one from the staff came to help. No hot water, I always had to look for someone to help out in the front desk. Whenever I asked for something they would comment sorry I don’t know or they just wouldn’t bother. In general I didn’t have a good time there.

A great option in Puerto Escondido
The staff at Hotel DC is exceptionally friendly and accommodates all requests with a big smile. The property is new and features contemporary design, which is rare in PE. Our room - Zicatela-had a lovely balcony with an ocean view, although you also get to see the main road on which the property is located. There is a cute pool and bar on the top floor- nice place to see the sunset. My only criticism is that the room could have used more places to put your stuff-drawers, shelves, etc. Overall though, a lovely experience.

If you want to sleep, go somewhere else
+: service from reception staff swimming pool with a nice view recent and clean hotel you get a taxi in 3mn -: very noisy due to the road just next to the hotel when I asked to change rooms because I couldn't sleep in the one I had booked with an ocean and therefore road view (la punta), they gave me another one with a view on a corridor (tierra blanca) and refused to give me back part of the money, arguing that the two rooms were at the same price. I just checked, the one with the ocean view is 50% more expensive. When I complained, they offered me the free breakfast, which accounts for ~10% of the difference in price. And be prepared to pay for everything as extra: hot chocolate, fruit, a 2nd glass of (not fresh) orange juice; these are all not included in the breakfast... There aren't many places to store things in the room Don't take your breakfast inside the restaurant, there is no AC and it's a sauna. You can take it outside in the small court.
