Great hotel
Hotel was great. Good central location and easy access to the metro. Would definitely return again.

Awesome Hotel and amazing value
Hotel 1899 was such a pleasant surprise after a long flight from the US. My wife and I absolutely loved this hotel. The staff was friendly, everything was modern and updated. The free tea service was awesome and we couldn't believe the value relative to what else is out there in Tokyo. We will definitely go back to Hotel 1899 next time we come back to Tokyo.

We’d love to be back!
Great hotel and even better service! Hotel is in a nice and quiet location, close by to a 7-eleven for snacks and drinks etc. Very quiet walk to the local station, takes about 10 minutes max. Design of the hotel is very very cool... Standout feature was the service - Ami there helped us out massively with some forgotten items and very kindly and efficiently handled everything for us forwarding to our next hotel in Osaka. Breakfast was brill too - nice options and plenty of tea and good coffee too!

Very Good 8.0
Great hotel, but un-eco friendly breakfast!
This hotel was great. Basic, but great and for the price (especially in Japan and especially in Tokyo) I was impressed. We went for the Iori room which was spacious enough. It had a king bed in, a small closet and a mini sitting area. The decor was modern and the room and bathroom were both very clean and well maintained. The only problem that my wife and I had with this place was the breakfast - not the food, which was very delicious. Small selection but what was on offer was healthy and tasty (rice, soup, bread, fresh fruit, eggs and protein with an amazing selection of cold brew teas). What the problem was, was the use of disposable and single-use plastics. Soup bowls, water cups, coffee cups, chopsticks and cutlery were ALL single-use paper or plastic, which is totally unsustainable. This really bothered us, particularly when the hotel is almost brand new and there has been no thought put into environmentally friendly practices. What’s even worse is that, plates and rice bowls are ceramic and glasses are available in the rooms, so it seems completely ridiculous that they haven’t carried that down to the breakfast area. It was a real let down in an otherwise good hotel. If you’re an eco-friendly person then it probably will drive you crazy too!
