Standard German Hotel but Out of the Way
My room was clean and the staff was helpful and nice. The breakfast was reasonably priced and what I would expect for a hotel breakfast in Germany. My biggest complaint was the lack of air conditioning and/or built-in fans. Apparently it is common for hotels in the region to not have A/C but it was a surprise to enter my room and have it hot and stuff. The curtains were open and the afternoon sun was beating into my room. After shutting the curtains and opening the window it cooled off some, but it was still hot outside so the room was not going to cool off much. Even at night the room was stuffy. On my way to check out I saw that some rooms had oscillating fans which might have helped the situation, but I did not know about them prior to that moment. The location of the hotel was rather inconvenient. It's either a 15 minute walk or a 10EUR cab ride to get to the city center and any restaurant. Walking wouldn't be too bad, but the hotel is atop a hill outside of the town.

    Nice quite stay.....beautiful views
The staff here are exceptional really go out of their way to make sure you have a pleasant stay. Hotel is in a neighborhood, very close to their local football (soccer) stadium you might want to keep that mind when booking your stay. I just say this because there was a pretty big game against their rival one of the days I stayed and there was lost of traffic and it was really loud that day and late that night. That wasn't a big issue for me but would of been nice to know before hand. I had a great stay and I would definitely stay there again. No restaurants close by but are a short drive or walk away but definitely not an inconvenience I usually walked to the mall area (30min walk/5min drive) then took a taxi back. Hotel does have a buffet morning/evenings only for a reasonable price. Bar is open until 1 or 2 am and has some food you can order. It was my experience that a lot of staff spoke English pretty well and those that didn't tended to be paired up with someone that did. No central air here but the windows do open and some rooms have patios as well. They also have fans you can as for. My advice if you have any issues during your stay bring it to the front desk and they will address it promptly if it is something they can correct if not they try to work out a solution. I ended up changing rooms my first day, the window didn't open in the 1st room, when I notified the front desk of the issue they addressed the issue right away and I was moved to q different room.

It was a warm July night when we checked in ...
We walked through a part of the hotel where we felt what felt like A/C in the hallway. Our room however, not only lacked any A/C, but the window would not open to allow a breeze into the room. It would only slightly open at the top. The room next door had a balcony and door that would at least offer ventilation. It made for a very uncomfortable night. The hotel did have a buffet with cold schnitzel and a few unappealing side dishes. We decided the 18 Euros they wanted was a bit steep, and apparently others must have felt the same since the large dining room was completely empty. When we asked the desk if there was a restaurant nearby, the clerk told us there was one about a mile away, down a steep hill. This was true, however, there was a smaller place about a block away. Having stayed in other Best Western properties around Germany and Europe, we were disappointed by this one.

It was very hot and some type of air or fan would have been appreciated.
