Hamburg Room

This is not a hotel we are accustomed to. This is a small office to check-in, then gives room assignments located in various separate buildings remote from the office. Room keys are given there for any vacant rooms available. Address given on the website is for one of the so-called sleephotels where rooms are located but have no check-in facility. Do not make the mistake of trying to check-in at this address. If you call the phone given at the website, you will be given an address of a remote office for checking-in. This makes you carry your luggages back & forth unnecessarily. One Positive thing: Rooms and shared bathrooms are surprisingly clean and have plenty of sheets and towels.

I'll start with the positive: The room was actually quite spacious for a single room and was nicely decorated with a small couch, bed, desk, and clothes hanging area. The shared bathroom was clean and adequate and the shower was nice enough even though you had to press a button every fifteen seconds to keep the water running. It seems like I am giving this a good review, BUT DO NOT STAY HERE! (a) The address indicated on your Orbitz itinerary is NOT where you pick up your keys and is also NOT where you actually stay. (b) The location where the actual hotel is is quite seedy and they have to employ a security guard to stand outside of the hotel after about 5pm to make sure nobody gets in. (c) The hotel is under renovation, so in order to get in, you have to use this small little key to turn a lock about five feet away from the door, itself. You then walk into an unmanned reception area and take an elevator to a designated floor. The elevator leaves you off in a construction site (they are clearly still building the hotel and are combining two buildings to do so). You then have to walk through an unmarked door to get to the other building where they have finished renovations. You then have to find the stairwell (also an unmarked door), and then go down a flight since the floors apparently do not match up between the two buildings. It is BIZARRE and a little creepy.

訂房網站上的地址是錯的，要再仔細點開住宿內容才會看到正確的辦理入宿的地址，但又跟房間的地址不一樣，讓人非常傻眼，辦理入住的時間限制太早，只到晚上7點我們抵達時已經晚上6點，地址又不對，拉著行李拖來拖去非常累，從飯店讓人非常傻眼，下次不會再選擇此飯店。

Großes Zimmer, alles sehr sauber. Positiv überrascht. Preis- Leistungsverhältnis super. Fußläufig ziemlich viel erreichbar.

Wir waren vor Ort etwas verwirrt, weil wir das Kleingedruckte nicht gut genug gelesen haben. So mussten wir uns mit anderen Gästen zusammen tun und erst mal zwei Straßen weiter die Zimmerschlüssel abholen. Das ging aber zum Glück recht schnell. Parken ist wirklich große Glückssache. Die Unterkunft war sauber, doch eines der Betten war sehr durchgelegen. Auf unsere schriftliche Anfrage, ob es auch ein Babybett gibt ist leider nicht eingegangen worden und Telefonisch ging immer nur der AB dran. Kommunikation also nicht so super.

Das Zimmer ist modern eingerichtet, sehr sauber und hat alles, was man braucht. Die Lage ist sehr zentral. Leider haben wir nicht das Zimmer bekommen, dass wir gebucht haben. Auch war der Check-In nicht gut erklärt, wir mussten drei verschiedene Adressen anlaufen. Das Zimmer lag in einem Flachbau, wir waren im obersten Stockwerk bei 35 Grad. Dementsprechend stickig war das Zimmer.

Das Zimmer war über einer Schwulenkneipe. Mit zwei Kindern fand ich das nicht so prickelnd. Das Zimmer an sich war nett eingerichtet und es gab bequeme Betten. Leider funktionierte das Wlan überhaupt nicht. Trotz mehrmaliger Monierung wurde daran auch leider nichts geändert. Auch ist am Gebäude nicht zu erkennen, dass dort Hamburg Room Zimmer vermietet werden. Wäre nicht zufällig jemand da gewesen, hätten wir nicht gewusst, dass die Rezeption ganz wo anders ist und diese niemals gefunden.
