A great stay overall
I stayed in the Bridal/Presidential Suite at the Shankly Hotel. Check in was fine. Key cards did not work so we had them replaced. They still did not work reception staff helped us out and came to our room and found a fault with the door itself. It was quickly fixed by Valentine and Gary so a big thanks to them. Valentine gave us an excellent tour of the room with outstanding manners, service and humour. The room was nice and clean. My cons was that the valve for the bath tub was broken and needs to be fixed to prevent it falling off. The back of the remote was non-existant so batteries kept falling out. The surround sound connected but the volume was very poor which was not good. I have stayed at Shankly before and the volume was never that bad in another room I stayed at. Checkout was fine also. Overall a good stay with some minor improvements needed.

Terrible stay
Not clear on hotels.com that this is a party hotel , on arrival room was dirty and seen hen party banners on adjacent doors asked to move to a quieter floor. On arrival to new room same condition, stains on bedding , room dirty bedding dirty and hen party banners on nearly every door and loud music playing from adjacent room. TV did not work. On asking reception to move again was told no rooms available and they could not fix the TV. We did not plan to party and was looking for a relaxed quiet evening which could not happen. Eventually got moved to sister hotel Art House and on arrival there the same issues. On asking for a refund on breakfast and hotel stay due to bad experience Marie was very helpful but passed this on to Gary See to deal with and despite nearly 2 weeks still do not have any communication, no deposit back refund for room or breakfast we did not have so all in all a very stressful and disappointing experience and would not recommend or stay here again or at any Signature living hotel. If you want a party and don't care about cleanliness or standard of hotel and service and want a room with multiple beds then great , but avoid if this is not what you are looking for , it totally ruined my stay in Liverpool, and the after stay customer service is non existent (apart from Marie) so as I write this still out of pocket where a refund is without doubt due.

The Shankly hotel never again. !!!!
We’re do I start, the staff were nice and that was it. The room we had was unbelievable our room was pink velvet flowers and black striped velvet wallpaper, black furniture, pink velvet sofa with gold edging. with a large love heart glowing on the ceiling saying wet dreams. !!!! The throw’s on the beds were dirty with makeup on them. It looked like lily savage decorated it. The pillows had seen better days, We didn’t even use the shower in the bathroom, we were only there one night. On the web site we used it didn’t show the room we got. The rooms shown on the web site look lovely, that’s what we thought we were going to get. We had a room that looked like it was used as a good time room. There was 2 baths in the bath room they looked like they needed to be cleaned before you got in to have a wash. The lights were very dim, in there. There was an other bathroom with a shower and a toilet plus sink. We had to turn the fan off because of noise. We booked this hotel with PARKING but there’s NO PARKING included. Even though though the car park has its own lift into the hotel. We had to pay an extra £15 to park our car. So there’s no pint selecting parking when your booking, then to find out when you get there you need to pay. £15 per night. And the last thing I can say if you want a quiet place to stay don’t stay here. There were younger guests staying that liked to party. !!!! I have never wrote a review before But I had to to this one.

Excellent fan stay
Excellent trip for my partners birthday. He is a Liverpool fan and so loved looking at all the memorabilia and artwork within the hotel. The room was spacious, well maintained and clean and the hotel is within walking distance of everything we wanted to see. On match day there were shuttle busses to Anfield from very close by to the hotel which was very handy.

Very Noisy
The staff were very friendly and helpful but over worked, I suggest employ more people. The room hand hair clips and rollers on the floor left behind by the last occupants, this indicates that the room wasn’t cleaned properly. As I was guest lecturing the next day, I was back in my room by 10pm. The noise levels suggested I was staying in a bar aid some sorts, this went on until 2am. On top of this, a week later I still haven’t received my deposit back. Other the items left behind (rollers etc) the room was tidy and if I was in liverpool for a weekend with the lads I would recommend. If you are staying for business, with your partner or family this isn’t for you. Note to signature. Employ more people and pay them better.

Out of this world
An absolutely fantastic hotel. I wouldnt stay anywhere else. You feel welcomed from the first moment you enter the hotel till tue day you leave. The room sizes are massive and luxurious. This is my second time staying at the shankley, and every room has a theme. Its like no other hotel i have ever stayed in. There is no doubt i wouldnt stay there again. Thankyou for the great stay

Not Great
Room was not to a high standard. Tile broken around bath and towel rail broken. Bed was uncomfortable and very small for a couple. Positives where the hotel staff and the lobby were both excellent. Staff very helpful.
