Beautiful, nice location but must improve the cleaning
Beautiful facilities. Beach and pool were lovely. Bathroom was way too small (no separation between shower and toilet). Walls are very thin and cleaning staff were very noisy in the early morning. Also cleaning staff would frequently wait outside our door waiting for us to leave when all we wanted to do was relax.
Great pool area, (but a little slippery) Two bed ocean view was very spacious and well appointed. Five minutes from airport.
Loved the beach.Pool was amazingly soft. Bathrooms were set up awkwardly with the shower not being enclosed and the toilet and floor getting wet. Got used to it tho.
I can't believe a beach resort is NO hair dryer available. I had called the front desk every morning but still no hair dryer can borrow for my trip. I have to go out with my wet hair everyday and evening after enjoy the swimming pool. And the poor design of the bathroom made me upsad. The toilet and the shower is just next each other, the toilet is totally wet after shower and the entire floor need couple hour to get dry.
Just back back from a week at Delfina. Overall a great experience. We were in a 3 bedroom panoramic penthouse. Cleaning services were a bit hit or miss. Had some issues with getting towels on a regular basis and the cleaning team were a bit loud as they worked. One day they had a party it seemed like on our floor. Hair dryers were hard to come by, we had to get on a waiting list for one which seemed odd to us. In addition they did not tell us that cruise ship visitors could buy cheap day passes and take up all the lounge chairs on the beach leaving very few for guests paying far more to stay at Delfins. While there were signs saying that reserving beach lounge chairs was prohibited, we found that if we did not do that, it was unpleasant on cruise ship days. All that said this is a lovely resort. Very nice intern staff at reception. Do not miss the Brass Boer restaurant at least one night. The dive shop was also extremely helpful. We booked a snorkel sail at Delfins reception. Just remember to bring your own hair dryer and wash cloth if you want to be sure to get one. Also for an eco conscious island and resort we thought it was odd that they threw the wine bottles and any plastic in the garbage rather than recycling. I would choose Delfins again for sure.
Loved location and updated rooms and friendly staff. Only issue we had was bc of our Delta flight had mechanical problems and we paid for one night and we weren’t there. Would go back there again though!
Delfins is by far the best resort on the Island. The exact combination of impecable taste in decoration, landscaping, and descrete service (not to mention the food) that gives as a result a laidback luxury beach resort which all-inclusive-buffet eating-noise seekers should avoid at all cost.
Overall the resort was very good. It is hard to call it a resort yet, however, as it is still very much under construction and they have a long way to go. But, especially for Bonaire, it was top notch. Pros: Great staff- helpful before arrival as well. Help getting reservations. Great location Beautiful beach (bring water shoes) with enough chairs Good value Dive shop on site Good lunch food and bar Rooms were spacious and well decorated. Easy Parking near room Great Dinner Restaurant on site Awesome pool In room refrigerators Cons: Poor housekeeping- rooms not very clean, took many days off, resort ran out of towels for bath one day! No Spa on site No hot tub Dive shop staff not great and not affiliated with hotel Lacking service- help with bags, maintenance (eg. change a light bulb) etc. No Napkins anywhere Rooms with limited space for clothes- dressers, closet space, hangers Only one room phone in room behind couch and only very low ring. No self laundry Overall, I would recommend this hotel but hope that and they grow into a full grown resort they can improve some of the services without losing the small hotel charm.
This was a beautiful resort with extremely friendly and helpful staff. The 4-bedroom villa we stayed in was European style and very modern, with all necessary amenities and more, including its own small pool and a large balcony. It was a short walk to the beautiful beach and the pool, and there was some snorkeling right off the hotel’s beach. The breakfast buffet was amazing. Would definitely return here for quiet relaxation.
