The House of Toby
Cost room, comfortable stay Recommended
Nice cosy room with a decent location. Smart TV with all channels available, air-con in each room, much more comfortable than major hotel chains. Yes the rooms are small but they make up for that, recommend for a nice place to stay for a few nights.

Not enough room to swing a cat
Newly refurbished with comfortable bed, nice bathroom and excellent shower. What not to like.... except the room was so small it was like staying in a wardrobe. Barely enough room to walk around the bed. Also, the promised breakfast was simply a carton of orange juice, cake and Apple in a paper bag on the floor by reception - and nowhere to eat if. Would have been better off giving a voucher for McDonald's - or not advertising breakfast and dropping the price accordingly. A disappointment. Ok for a single night but any longer might prove claustrophobic.

Central London Business Trip
This hotel is very convenient for central London and good value. It has recently been modernised. Considering the location it is surprisingly quiet. My only two comments would be that the internet is slow and my room had a problem with damp. There was a damp smell in the room, the carpet felt damp underfoot and my clothes felt damp in the morning. This was probably because I had a basement room so this wouldn’t be an issue in other rooms.

Never again
Stayed over the weekend, at first instance the hotel is very hard to find due to the constant construction work around the area. Checking in procedures dont take to long. Once in the room the first thing we noticed was the smell of ciggarates in the room. The window was left open with cigarrates still visible near the window. Late check out is £10 per hour which we got, but before the hour could be completed we was asked to leave within 5 minutes because they can smell smoke and pay £200 fine. I imformed them that the room was already smelling of smoke from the night before and that we didnt smoke. He insisted that he had "evidence" and then i asked him to show it us which he refused, then i asked if i could speak to the hotel manager. His response was leave in 5 minutes or am charging you the £200 anyways. The receptionist was extremely rude, would never recommend nor set foot in that establishment
