Alexandra Place - Serviced Apartments

Very clean and staff very helpful

We needed to make a last minute booking due to extreme weather conditions. The service was quick, compassionate, helpful and took the stress out of a stressful situation. The apartment was listed as 3 1/2 stars. It is at least 4 1/2 stars in my view. Great place.

Amazing apartment. We stayed in the attic room, very spacious for the two of us. Great location for travelling around. Would stay again

Very comfortable apartment, Excellent shower, kitchen facilities etc, a bit of traffic noise from the road, but very good value

Disappointing apartment. Bathroom very small and shower didn't work very well and dripped all night. Out of the 3 blinds 2 were broken so had to manually lower so ended up leaving them down. Apartment info stated full kitchen but only has hob and microwave NO cooker which was annoying as needed one! Will not be returning or recommending sorry.

The positives are that the apartment was spacious and central to the places we wanted to go and there are a couple restaurants and shops nearby if you need anything. However, the beds and furniture were pretty uncomfortable and one of the bedrooms was under the staircase so you can clearly hear people pounding up and down the stairs.

The room was very spacious but had issues cooking as the smoke alarm is near the cooker which set it off in the whole building when cooking breakfast The owner very okay and dealt with the issue promptly but did put us off cooking anything further

Had 3 hotels booked as part of a family trip to Wales. It got cancelled at the last minute due to the 'beast from the east'. Two hotels refunded me without issue, this hotel refused. Accept they have a cancellation policy but in the circumstances I think its pretty unfair to in force it.

First, WE made a mistake about the date of our stay, but Helen (owner) was extremely helpful and gracious about letting us change the night we stayed there. Because of our error, there was some problem about getting into the apartment, but with the help of Chloe's in the shop below and her customer, we were able to get in and had no other problems. (Helen was away and so arrangements were done by phone with help of her assistant).The key safebox was difficult to manage. The studio apartment was large and comfortable. The kitchenette had everything we needed, they did provide coffee and tea for us. Except for some black substance between the tiles in the shower (very light and just made us a bit uncomfortable), the place was clean. It was fairly chilly when we got there and Helen had to do something with the controls to add heat to the room. We were on the main street of the town, so there was traffic outside the window. We always travel with earplugs so that did not bother us. Down the street were a grocery store and restaurants, so we could find supplies and food with no problem. People in the area were friendly and very helpful.
