Queens hotel
Hotel clean. Staff accommodating. Stayed in family room. Mattress rolled to one side. Heating permanently on. Paid for breakfast but we were not told breakfast started at 8 until we hot there. We had to check out before breakfast on sunday. Even though kids were doing a swimming gala and no shops open there was no room for manoeuvre which was disappointing. Great location though. Clean but tired hotel

Would highly recommend
We had an unexpected stay at this hotel due to cleanliness issues at our original destination which made it impossible for us to stay there. We booked this hotel as a last resort, otherwise it would have meant travelling back home, an 8 hour journey. The room was booked at midnight on 25th May. We had our dog with us and got the last room available. We popped into the hotel the next morning to make sure all was ok with the booking as it was done online and spoke to Alison (Reception Supervisor), she was very understanding of our situation and extremely helpful and accommodating, very friendly. We initially booked a twin room but Alison sorted it out for us to stay in a family room for the rest of our holiday. The hotel was ideally situated, with its own car park, overlooking the promenade and the sea, it was a short walk into the centre of town with lots of cafes, shops, restaurants and pubs nearby. There was evening entertainment every night. The room was clean and it was great that they allowed dogs to stay there as well. Staff were very friendly, polite and helpful and we had a fantastic time here. We would definitely recommend the hotel and will certainly be returning for holidays in the future. Thank you to the staff for making this a great holiday, I am recovering from major surgery and this was just the right place for a very relaxing recuperation. Keep up the good work.

What we expected
Hotel was what I expected for the price I paid. Location was amazing, view out to see even better. Deco was dated but room was clean and did us for what we needed which was a base for a few days away. Breakfast was fine. My only negative would be the floor boards....It is an old building so you would expect wear and tear what you don't expect is no sleep due to the people above you constantly moving about during the night and then up at 5am each morning and you feeling like the ceiling was going to fall through. As they just didnt sit still!!!! We purchased ear plugs for the 2nd night but the noise was so loud it was still very loud. I would request the top floor if I was to ever stay here again.
