Good hotel in the middle of the Shinjuku.
Nice hotel at the walking distance from shinjuku railwaystation. Helpful and polite staff. Comfortable bed but had to ask for thicker pillows. Little small room and no space for two big lagguages but room was nice and had air conditioning and fridge.

Spend more on a better hotel
The staff was very friendly and spoke good English. The lobby was tiny. The hotel also lacked a washing/dryer and there was no onsen available. The hotel was close to convenience stores and metro train station. However, it is a far from Shinjuku station (15-20min walk). If you have a JR pass I would stay somewhere closer to the Shinjuku station. The room was the tiniest room we experienced in Japan. The room was updated and lots of power outlets. However, The floor was also dirty. There were balls of hair from the previous guests as well as their used slippers. Also, when we entered the room, the building had turned off their AC (it was the hottest day of the month!). We called the front desk to turn on the AC, which they did. The hotel was cheaper than other hotels in the area. Though, after staying here, I think it would be worth it to pay more and stay somewhere more comfortable and more convenient.

Unsafe area? Couldn't sleep with noisy at night
We had a 8-Days trip in Tokyo\Aomori\Akita. Had spent the last 2 nights at this hotel, too noisy outside all night (police car alert with broadcasting, speeding...). Couldn't sleep at all. The sound made us feel this area is unsafe, don't know what's happened there (earthquake alert? police chasing bad guys?). And even there's something happened, I believe the hotel staffs will not let us know as they can speak very little English. Have to use google translate to communicate. Will never live in this area again.Don't put yourself at risk, there's better choice in Tokyo.

Be prepared as the room is very small but workable. It is even smaller than a cruise ship cabin if you have been to a cruise. The staff is adequate for service. Elevators are small. Housekeeping staff are great and keep your room very clean. The bathroom being so small even had a mini furo for you to take baths if you wished comfy but workable. The location is not the greatest but if you don't mind walking it is fairly close to everything. The area sits on the border of the Korean section of Japan. Lots of great food Japanese and Korean in the area. Transportation wise....make sure you let your cab driver know which APA you are staying at as there are several of them. The hotel says they have restaurant but they don't. All in all the hotel was very clean, staff was adequate and location was okay. Cost wise...good value
