This has been our go to hotel every time we come to GDL. It is close to my doctor offices and has a great international food scene all within walking distance to the hotel. The neighborhood is nice and we fell very safe.

I love this place but...
Hotel Velvet has been my go to hotel whenever I return to Guadalajara. The front desk has been great. That was until a young man gave me push back on a needed later check out time. The hotel is not at full capacity and the rooms were not needed to re-occupy. In this case I felt as if it were another tool to get more money from me. I am a gold member which should offer consideration at times and this would have been an ideal time for one. Maybe it’s time to look for another go to hotel.
