One word, Amazing!
First, I would like to thank Jacqui, Ben and Juhn for their excellent customer service. They went above and beyond to make my stay more comfortable. Thank you for being so wonderful! This is a super cute boutique hotel. Very clean, nice rooftop bar with fire pit. Nice neighborhood, safe and close to most tourists attractions. I stayed at room# 412, cozy, quiet, corner room. Tiny and adorable! Just perfect for me and my dog. Pet friendly hotel and they do not charge you for your pet! There’s an excellent pizza place inside the hotel, they make you any type of pizza you like. I’m vegan and they do have vegan options too. Overall wonderful, I truly enjoyed my stay at this hotel and definitely coming back soon! Thank you for your hospitality hotel Hive!

I'd stay there again
Ben was at the front desk the evening of my arrival and was so helpful and friendly. He was personally attentive to any needs I had once I checked into my room and fortunately, he was on duty every night when I returned to my room. The only downside to my stay was that I found the bed to be very uncomfortable and there was no top sheet; just a duvet and it was far too warm for that. However, all it took was one phone call to the front desk in the morning and the woman attending the front desk was in my room within minutes to bring extra pillows and sheet. Problem solved! Every staff member I encountered couldn't have been any kinder or more professional. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone. Although I didn't dine upstairs, I did walk up to the outdoor rooftop restaurant/bar and it was lively and had a great view. Quiet neighborhood, off the beaten path but close enough to walk to the national mall. Overall great experience.

hotel hive insensitive to those living with hiv
ibooked a room at the hotel hive excited to stay because i ahve had drinks there before loved the place and had never actually stayed overnigt. i decided to take a wellneeded night in the city so booked a room. on my drive to dc from norfolk i received many many many covid alerts on my cell phone with regards to visting washington and they said that there was a huge spike in cases and you would have to quarentine for fourteen days i called the hotel and booking.com to say i would not be checking in for i have an immune deficiency disorder due to hiv neither booking.com nor the hotel hive would refund my room charge of 125 dollars. i think that is incredibly insenstive. i was told that since this alert had been out for a few days they would not do so. i am not from the district had no idea of this alert and was appauled by the insensitivity of the matter. if the problem is not resolved and my card credited for the room i will move forward and make a little bit of a stink. does the hotel hive think it okay for those living with hiv to possibly put themselves at risk for covid 19 simply bc they were not prevy to an alert in a city in which they dont live. brandon pope ...i mean really, the rep from the hotel could at the very least offered to rebook me a room for a later date when safer.

A true gem in the heart of DC!
This hotel exceeded my expectations beyond belief. The rooms were so clean and offered just the right amount of space. I love the concept of a micro-hotel and this place is perfect. It was also aesthetically pleasing as I am into the minimal and clean look. The natural light coming in was amazing!! The staff were really friendly and helpful as well. This is already my favorite place after one stay. I’ll be sure to come back!!
