I stayed in the Hyatt House hotel in The Wharf in D.C. during a business trip. First time it's a bit tricky to find (you need to get to the lobby on the 2nd floor). I had a corner room which was very nice and light, with a fairly ok view (I guess the ones on the other sides have a really good view). The room was just perfect in size for a business trip, with a little kitchen, sitting corner and small dining table. Bathroom is modern and functional. Service was friendly. Breakfast is relatively simple, and would probably get boring after more than a week - but still good. Bar seemed to have pretty good ambiance. Area has a lot to offer in terms of food, drinks and entertainment. Subway is a good 10 mins walk - not an issue as long it's not raining. Supermarket about same distance. All in all, was impressive for the price I paid. I'll come back.
I stayed at Hyatt/The Wharf for a conference in DC, the location is very convenient. Close to the national mall, the convention center is accessible using the bus line 74 and the yellow and green metro lines. Breakfast is good and quantity is here too.
Nice room layout and neighborhood. Main room door stuck to the frame a bit, but the hotel staff attended to this during our stay.
We loved our stay in the Hyatt House. Hotel was a great find and in a really bustling part of the city. Close to everything!
This hotel is located as part of the new wharf development which includes many bars & restaurants. The only down side of this location is the noise in the hotel bedrooms. The staff were excellent and the free breakfast provides a good start to the day. The hotel is an easy 20-30 minute walk to the main tourist attractions.
For me it was hard I am not a real high tech person and everything was high tech which no-one explained to me. I had to ask someone to show me how to use the key card for the elevator. I had to download an app to my phone to use the TV, the kitchen menu app wasn't working. Room service was over whelmed and was unable to take my order over the phone. I had to keep going downstairs to ask questions to the main desk and they left didn't know what the right was doing. Giving me wrong directions. It was a challenging stay to say the least! I was actually scared staying there.
The hotel was beautiful. Unfortunately some of the staff treated us poorly because of our political views.
Excellent hotel stay!
Great place--absolutely wonderful service, great amenities. Well-worth the price and plan on staying here again if ever in D.C.
Lovely hotel. I could not have been more pleased. I stayed in a studio king and was like an apartment. All the comforts of home. Lovely location. Very nice bed and linens. Staff was excellent and friendly. I would definitely stay again! Thumbs up on this hotel! My only negative would be it is hard to find the entrance. But an angel (stranger) when we were wandering looking lost and showed the way.
