Nice neat and spacious room and plenty of atmosphere in the centre of Fremantle. Room cost was also very affordable. You gotta expect some noise with a pub downstairs but calmed down after 12am. Shower was difficult, low pressure and hard to tune and the floors creak. Other than than that, a great base to explore the action on a Saturday night.
Overall our stay was pleasing as we only stayed one night. I noticed the shower would change from hot and cold consistently but when my friend used it later, it was fine. The toilet was leaking in the morning, not majorly but would need someone to look at it. Couldnt report it to staff as when I went to check out the next morning the entire reception area was locked with no staff to be found. This was at 9:45am. I managed to find a staff member in the kitchen area who I could hand the key over to and get my deposit back. Room was much bigger than expected and suited our one night stay. For the price and convenience of location I would stay again.
Had a great time, room while small was lovely, everything was clean tidy and a great value for the price would happily stay again.
1) I had to wait 15 minutes to check in a very noisy pub with a barman promising me that the manager would be there in 2 minutes. Even then I only managed to find the manager because I asked for his name and went looking. The barman had just shrugged and told me he was busy. Clearly didn't give a toss. 2) Entry through the grubby, smelly, back end of the hotel up some very steep stairs 3) There may have been wifi. I'm not sure. There was no info folder in the room. 4) Curtains permanently closed in the room. I pulled one aside to find a window that looked like it hadn't been washed this century. So very dingy indeed. 5) One review says that the room was very quiet for being over a noisy pub. Um, no. Pounding music until midnight. 6) It was advertised as parking available onsite. It should have read, "parking available if you can get it". It doesn't necessarily come with the room. 7) This place would be expensive at $50 a night, let alone the $150 they're charging. Wotif, please send someone independent to check it out.
The . Norfolk hotel is full of character. The food is fantastic. Close to the bustling markets. Love Freo
Great location close to everything and right in the in centre of the Freo action. Nice new spacious rooms
The Norfolk was lovely and clean. Loved that you could stay above a noisey Pub but not actually hear the noise down stairs. It was nice and close to the markets and everything else in Freo. We definitely will be staying here again
Great spot, nice room, good food, friendly staff, cold beers
An old world hotel with loads of charm. Great food, drinks and staff. Not a modern shiny place, but that's its charm. It is what it is. My last day there was the last real day of freedom before covid 19 closed everything down, so I'm glad I spent it there. Good luck for the future!
everything was fantastic apart from the piped music that didn't switch off til about 11:30. couldn't get to sleep with that. it was way too loud and added nothing that warranted being there. very intrusive. all else was fantastic. i would defintiely check that it was on prior to getting settle.
