Not as expected

The place overall was comfortable, authentic and within walking distance to the French Quarter. The cleaning lady that lived on premises was very nice. There were items that we had issues with. The parking, while listed as free, is on the street and only in front of the building WHEN available. Otherwise one had to find parking in the adjacent blocks; should be identified better on the information for the property. The washroom for the canopy room is outside the room off the main corridor and was inconvenient at night. You have to enter a code to enter the washroom. The water was cold until it was run for up to 10 minutes.The room window on the balcony side was not able to be secured as the air conditioning unit was vented out the bottom of the window section. This meant your room was not securely closed and your belongings at risk.
