worth the drive
Worth the drive! Truly enjoyed this little gem! It’s in San Luis, about 20 minutes drive from the busy noisy crowded Santa Elena, we had a car therefore distance didn’t matter. Immaculate new individual tree house cabins! Family run farm and ecolodges, our room had a large bed, balcony and hot shower. Good lighting and a/c! The young lady running it was fantastic, perfect English and accommodating. Property is beautiful, small swimming pool, and gorgeous garden and a soccer field. Was probably the best dinner we had in CR! Had the tilapia, cooked to perfection and beautiful presentation. Wifi was not available in the room, but worked well at the restaurant/bar.

We had a wonderful time at El Rancho de Lelo. The staff was absolutely phenomenal and went out of their way to help us feel at home. And the food in their restaurant was the best the had on our whole trip, WOW!! We would definitely stay here again!

Stay some where else for the price
It was a long way from town. 2.3 miles took us 30 minutes to get to. The roads are scary and 1 way. Very dangerous roads to navigate. Leaking toilet, no working hot water, and no AC made for a not great stay. Then up charged me $100 for 2 kids with all of the issues we had. Also tried to charge me double the price for 1 night. They did not believe me about the price so I had to wait while they called hotels.com. I would not recommend it at all. Much better places for same price closer to town. The food was not great either and no water for drinking.
