8/10 Very good

Good Hotel
The staff is very friendly and helpful. I was able to leave my bags while I was out before my room was ready. The hotel is clean and comfortable. Now, it was fine for me, but the room was very, very small. There is no air conditioning, but there is a fan in the room and it did the job. The bathroom is about the same size as the bedroom part of the room. The shower was great, no problem with hot water or water pressure. Also, I could not get any channels on the TV. It turned on, but then nothing. My room was on the 4th floor, all stairs - no elevator. It sounds like I am complaining, but I am not. I just want anyone who reads this to know what you might find. The hotel was in a great location. 20 minute walk from train station, 20 mins to Anne Frank house, 30 mins to Rijksmuseum. There are many, many, many bars and restaurants very close to the hotel.

8/10 Very good

Great location. Very small room on the 4th floor (no lift so it will save you from having to go to the gym). Friendly staff and clean. This is also a bar but there is a side door for easy access. Enjoyed the stay and am also fitter due to the stairs.

Amazing staff, loud all night inside hotel!
We adored the staff at the Hotel Corner House. They were friendly and helpful, and wonderful from the moment we walked in until we left. From the people working at the restaurant to the guy who cleaned our room, we were always greeted and it was a very cheery environment. It was also lovely to have a bar and restaurant downstairs and the dining and drink options within a 2 minute walk were lovely. The room was also spacious and clean and the location was overall amazing for our stay. Those are the positives. However, the negatives were that the beds were pretty hard… and the noise coming all night from within the hotel itself was horrendous. You could hear every time someone came or left throughout the night because you could hear every door slam, every person walk, every person on the stairs, every person talking. It was so loud! We even had two phones playing white noise every night trying to block it out and no matter what we tried it was not enough to not be able to hear it all. We are not light sleepers, but this place was so loud. There is just not proper insulation in the walls, because we have never stayed in a place with this much noise of everyone coming and going and talking in their rooms. We really liked some of the things about Hotel Corner House, but the lack of sleep after a few nights was just frustrating. Maybe it would be better in one of the rooms higher up than ours was.

Would stay again
Was a great place to stay, rooms clean and tidy, staff pleasant. Had a few issues with the room keys but nothing major. Hotels in a great location to.

Not a real hotel
This is more of a Hostel than a hotel: basic accommodations, crazy Amsterdam-style steep staircases, run-down fixtures. Amsterdam is crazy expensive, but now I know it is worth the extra to get a real hotel.
