Nice hotel.
Nice new hotel. I stayed on the first floor and it was really noisy! The shower was by far the worst I’ve ever had. Absolutely no pressure, I’ve had more shower pressure at a campground. The bed was very comfortable, and very clean.

We were very disappointed in our stay. No one was at the counter when I wanted to check in and continued to be in the back room whenever we were looking for help. The elevators didn’t work the whole time, and we had to carry our luggage to the third-floor. She gave us keys to get in at the side of the building to be near the stairway and they didn’t work. So every time we had to walk around to get to the stair way. Road noise was terrible, and because people had to use the stairs there was constantly slamming of doors. My husband only got about three hours of sleep. We went down for breakfast and the lady was extremely rude. She acted like you were putting her out. We will never stay here again.

20 minutes after we arrived the power went out for a few hours. We were never offered compensation for that time we had no power. INSTEAD, we were charged an extra $125 for no reason. It look 2 phone calls and a call to corporate to even get the charges taken off. My family and I love Holiday Inn Express, but this location, never again.

My husband and I were looking for a place near Lake Michigan when we came across this gem. The hotel was extra clean; they took all precautions during the pandemic, served hot breakfast each morning through a window in a to-go box, used masks and signs sanitizer throughout the property. We stayed in 317, a King suite which was the perfect size and had all the amenities of a 5 star hotel. The only reason I gave a 4 star is because we were locked out of our room the first night for over an hour. The girl working (I wish I had gotten her name because she was AWESOME!!) did everything she could to help us. After trying several things, she ended up calling in the maintenance man from his home, which was great, until he said, "Yeah we have this issue a lot with this door, the batteries only last about a week or so." We were told to talk to the manager the following day, Amber (the manager) offered NOTHING, not even an apology; she was only defensive and rude! We were tired and annoyed; this was something that could have been avoided, as batteries are cheaper than a bad review. If you stay in room 317 make sure they CHANGE THE BATTERIES UPON YOUR ARRIVAL.
