Very nice hotel in small cozy town
We loved this hotel. We stayed for 6 nights and sorry for not staying more. Location is perfect to explore some of beauties of Rhine region. Very friendly and helpful stuff. They had a lot of patience to provide us with all info needed to reach some of not easy to reach without car places. Very tasty breakfast !

Wonderful stay!
Boppard is a gorgeous little town on the Rhine. Easy to get around to other towns nearby by train or car. This hotel is right on the river front with only s small esplanade area between you and the river (a lot of other towns around have the railway between the buildings and the river). We really enjoyed our stay, the owners Sonya and Scott are just lovely, as is all there staff. So helpful with information and tips about where to go and what to do. Our room was clean and comfy, the balcony large enough for two people to sit on and watch the world go by. As peaceful as it sounds, you are sure aware that you are in the middle of a large busy country. The cruise boats, barges and trains running up and down the Rhine, let you know that. But it was interesting to watch and see a very different world. Some people have found the noise from the trains difficult, but honestly I always wear earplugs to sleep with when travelling (As I take a bit if time to sleep in a strange bed and I find they help as I am a light sleeper), so for me this was not a problem. Breakfast was nice and plenty of it. If I am ever lucky enough to return to this part of the world I would not hesitate to stay at Hotel Gunther.

Wonderful location and lovely friendly staff
We had a double room with a balcony looking immediately onto the Rhine - fabulous! Very comfortable bed and the staff were lovely. Maybe the room decor is not wonderfully modern but that is more than made up for by the view from the window and the very friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast too.

On the Rhine. Great view with balcony. Julia at tge frint desk was amazingly helpful. The kd ferry is a minute walk. Train station is a few blocks.
