Clean and cosy for a 2-star hotel. Staffs are friendly too. Overall I enjoyed my stay there! :) However the downsides are: 1. Too noisy as rooms are not soundproof. 2. Can improve in choices of breakfast. 3. Noticed that gate to carpark was often closed and locked up.

This place is a great, interesting place to stay, with comfortable, clean air-conditioned rooms and lovely sitting areas with airy windows to catch the breeze. There are a lot of steep stairs to get to the upper rooms which can be hard after a day in the jungle. There is also a lot of noise from the Chinese Karaoke every night across the road 6.30-12 and then 5am call to prayer then church bells and sometimes fireworks from the Chinese temple. Use ear plugs and get the staff to help you with your bags and you'll love staying here, it's got a great pool, very funky and in a terrific central part of town.

Beautiful place to stay while in Kuching.

The grounds is just such a relaxing place to be and the building & decoration takes you back a little to nostalgic times. Staff were very attentive & sort the small issues I was having with the room facility. The surrounding noise can be a little annoying at times but it's right in the middle of the city and it's no high rise building so it was expected. All in all a pleasent stay & for those who wants a little peace while able to explore the city I would recommend this place.

Lovely property, full of character and history. It’s central location is ideal for easy and quick access to the Kuching Waterfront and shops. The only negative was the breakfast terrace doesn’t have a non-smoking area making it quite unpleasant at times.

Great location and lovely building with interesting past. The room was fine, although small. Breakfast was help-yourself and simple but nice. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The character of the building was great and the pool was lovely. Everyone at reception was very friendly

Really good-looking hotel!

One of the coolest hotels we’ve ever stayed in! Loved all the touches and the character. Very Comfortable bed and nice big bathroom. Pool was really nice. The location is sooo great.. close to waterfront and good restaurants. The restaurant downstairs was really cool and we loved having a drink at the end of the day there. Hotel Breakfast needs some fresher options but good coffee. We loved this hotel and would highly recommend it.
