Best choice in the area!
I chose this hotel since it was affordable and close to the Metropol venue. I'm so happy I did. It was quiet with a nice, small room and safe (locked) parking. The bathroom is very small, but with a nice shower and heater (to dry towels). The windows were thick and masked all sound when closed. I opened them to hear the rain! There are several restaurants and late-night pizza/pasta options as well as a bio market. The WIFI didn't really work at all, but the Cel service was fine. I'm so happy with the parking and with nice breakfast and friendly staff. They also have a laundry area!

Quaint But Needing A Refresher
The room was okay for what i paid. However, i did find thr mattress on the twin bed to be really uncomfortable. You could actually feel the springs in the mattress. Also, it was extremely difficult to figure out hows to work the tv in the room. When im on vacation, i like to be able to check the news. I couldn't do it. My last issue with the place was the check in and check out process. When I arrived, there were 2 other people waiting in the lobby. One if them called the hotel from the lobby and was told that he needed to wait until 2 pm. It was 1:45 pm. The clerkwho eas checking eff drone in arrived about 10 minutes late.

I checked into a nicely sized single hotel room on the 1st floor. The main issue with this room is the noise coming from the main road outside, you could hear traffic, trains rattling by and emergency services. On a cool week this would have been better as the windows block most noise out when closed, but it was a week with super high temperatures 30*C every day! The room was like a sauna inside, it had a ceiling fan which was some relief but still far too hot! The mini bar wasn't particularly cool, perhaps broken, so any drinks stored in there came out warm. Apart from this, the room was a nice cosy space with everything I could need. The hotel is conveniently located right next to an underground station, plenty of supermarkets and a Lidl next door, and close to Tiergarten which is 20 mins walk up the road. Would totally recommend if you're visiting at a cooler time of year.

Small Berlin apartment, close to train
Overall the hotel worked well for our needs. We are 3 travelers requesting to be in the same room; they provided us with an apartment-style suite with a queen bed in the bedroom and a twin bed in the kitchen which was a little strange. That being said, there was a full kitchen, and a small laundry room with a hanging rack and utility sink. As are most things in Europe, the whole place was small, but clean. The front desk was very helpful in giving us information about the city as well as local train stops. Overall a good experience, and you can't beat the location for the price.
