Expensive stay for ordinary Apartment
I stayed in a 2 Bedroom Apartment in Esra Hotels with my family. The stay was okay, but the price was high for a 2 star rated accommodation. Let me list out the negatives and the positives The negatives:- 1) High priced 2) Breakfast not included ! 3) The swimming pool is not temperature controlled. Not ideal during winter. 4) The pool changing room do not have lights. 5) The Apartment is slightly far away from the Town Centre. 6) No lift - A problem if you have heavy luggage and given a 1st Floor Apartment (Note this is a G+1 Building) 7) Sofa and Table looked old and in need of replacement. The Positives:- 1) The Rooms have 2 Bathrooms, which is good when travelling with large family 2) The Hotel is owned by Khasab Tours and Travels and Ms. Wafa at reception was pleasant to deal with and gave a good deal for Dhow Cruise. 3) Allowed a late Checkout.

Convenient area and good service. Loud AC.
convenient area and he serviced is great. We slept well, although the room AC and fridge had a loud noise which made it difficult to sleep well. The pool are at is nice, they advertised there was a bar open, but when we went to the pool (around 4/5pm, the bar was closed and didn’t be seem to reopen when we left at 6/7). This was disappointing.

Acceptable family accommodation in Khasab
The Esra Hotel Apartments are run by the same company as Khasab Tours and Travels. The 'luxury' two bedroom apartment that we took did not live up to the luxury description, but was quite adequate for a couple of nights. Our apartment was pretty clean, especially when compared to other serviced apartments that we have stayed in, but there was a lack of maintenance. I am talking about loose towel rails, windows with broken locks and rather erratic WiFi etc. The staff are very nice and try to help, but have limited ability to fix any problems. Be warned that the restaurant does not appear to be open in the evenings during the week and that the outdoor pool, whilst very clean etc. is not heated. The kitchens contain a hob, fridge freezer, microwave and kettle, but only very basic cutlery and crockery that is not in the best condition, so our advice is to either bring your own or go down to the large new Lulu supermarket. In summary, you get what you pay for and we would definitely stay here again as it is the best priced family accommodation in Khasab, but next time we will be better prepared. We have therefore scored it as 4 out of 5, rather than 3, bearing in mind the price.

Expensive and definitely not coming back...
- water pressure too weak, very difficult to take shower - no internet connection - incomplete utensils and cookingware in the kitchen - kitchen exhaust not working - only one outlet in the bedroom - no telephones in the room. Cannot reach reception or maintenance - visible wear and tear in the rooms needing repair, eg dirty walls, stains - no security
