Lisbon Serviced Apartments Bairro Alto

Nice big apartment. Clean sheets and towels, washed dishes daily (unless you notify otherwise using the do not disturb sign.) I think the AC stopped working on the last day, this is my only complaint.

I chose this apartment for our last night in Portugal. I was looking for a clean, comfortable place to lay our heads after a long 2 weeks traveling around the country. This is not what we got. They emailed to collect the per person tax beforehand (standard for all the places we stayed), and once that was paid they sent the code to enter the building and the apartment, so a nice no hassle check in. We stayed in apartment 1B and I was less than pleased with the condition. When we walked in the door, the mustiness and humidity was overwhelming. It gave me a headache within 10 minutes of being inside, and I woke up with a coughing fit from it later that night, with lasting allergies next day. The entire apartment could use a paint job. The walls were dirty with fingerprints, scuffs, and drips from the air conditioner units. There were cigarette burns on the daybed in the living room. The towels provided had turned from white to a shade of gray. The metal bar in the shower where the temperature control was burned me multiple times while showering (hard to avoid, very small shower) even though I didn't have the water turned very hot. The pillows provided were small and lumpy. I woke up barely able to move at one point from the mattress. I'm sure some of their other units are great, but this one needs some major TLC. Positives: Easy check in; coffee maker; washing machine; good water pressure and hot shower; close to many restaurants; TV w/ Netflix; cold A/C
