Beautiful old house, large room, a little off main highway but a nice to stop awhile.
Unforchantly there was noting to like about this property
Steamers bed and breakfast in Gagetown N.B. was an excellent experience. Hosts Lisa and Brent were very welcoming. Their home is a grand heritage house with much character and antiques and rich in history overlooking the Saint John river in a quiet, safe community. It was very peaceful and relaxing. The bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in and it was great I could stay with my dog. I highly recommend this home to other travellers.
Beautiful view. Nice quilt on the bed. Lovely antiques and friendly staff.
A building with wonderful character. Fascinating history. Lovely town. Beautiful setting on the river. Very impressive cocktail list! Warm and personal service. Very welcoming of pets.
Nice and big bed and breakfast. Good decor and many antique items. The staff were nice
We stayed one night as we were in need of a room after driving all day from western Quebec, booking a room based on recommendations from others. On arrival, we were cordially met and showed our room by the owners' son. He also provided information regarding a restaurant for dinner - good suggestion. We did know that the B&B did have cats (READ THE FINE PRINT IN THE DESCRIPTION), but generally cats in other B&Bs we've stayed at don't have the run of the house as these did. Fortunately they did not trigger my allergies as we slept. The building is a nicely maintained old inn with nice antique furnishings. Sadly, the owners had their personal belongings scattered everywhere in the common areas. Breakfast was a simple hot meal, filling but not memorable. The cereal bar could have used some refreshing. We did have a nice visit with Gary, one of the owners, and did learn a little about their efforts to operate Steamers; however, we feel they could do a little more to make an average operation into a superior one.
Very enjoyable stay. Loved to sit on the back deck in the evening, overlooking the water, while shaded by the giant Black Lotus trees.
This property is beautiful. It's a lovely old house full of antiques. The back porch overlooks the water which is absolutely beautiful. The couple who own it were very nice and informative. We had a delicious omelet for breakfast. Just down the street (5 minute walk) is a great restaurant where we went for dinner. The owners also offered to bring in food from another restaurant if we didn't feel like going out. All in all it was a fabulous experience. A wonderful end to a wonderful vacation. Should I find myself in the area again, I would definitely return and I will definitely recommend to anyone I know who might be in the area.
Tranquillité et propreté dans la maison, lit très confortable
