A good budget base
This is a budget hotel, and if you're not expecting 5* hotel for 2* prices then you'll be happy! No, it's not the Ritz, but it was clean and comfortable and perfect to shower and sleep in for our 3 night stay. Bedding and towels were clean, and room serviced every day. Beds were comfy and showers functional! I went with my Mum, but we had no major issues with the shower being in the actual room, just avert your eyes 😅 the rooms are basic, bed, loo, sink, shower and TV, but was all we needed. Let's face it, your in the room to wash and sleep! I liked the fact you could only access the room floors with a scan of your room key (either to get the lift, or to get in via the stairs) it made a very central location feel safe. The hotel was in a perfect position, very central and we enjoyed not having to stagger far home from the pub! Free tea & coffee in reception 24/7 and always someone there if you need any help. Staff were friendly and helpful. 👍

Friendly staff, dirty rooms
The front desk staff was very polite, cheery, and helpful with my room and storing my luggage for the day. They were honestly the highlight of my stay. The hotel was also in a great location to move around the city center. However, my original room had hairs on the pillows/in the sheets. I was able to switch into another room, only to later realize that this one had hair in the shower. For a one night stay, it did the job, but I probably will not return, even though - as I previously said - the employees were very hospitable.
