    Relaxing, refreshing, best for couples.

Wonderful place to stay. Rustic, but with modern renovations. View is beautiful. Rock beach. Firepit. I was overnight on a business trip, but will be back with my wife.

Beautiful location. Website makes it look like a welcoming place. When we arrived the restaurant was closed and I had to go to the kitchen to find someone to check us in. It turned out that the staff was involved in a large event elsewhere. They should have stated that on the web. Of course then we wouldn’t have stayed there and they would have lost business. The next morning there was no one for checking out. So disappointed in this.

This is a tucked away little spot on the Nova Scotia coast. It is both a quaint little lodge and an amazing restaurant. It has a family feel (the chef/owner's family was around during the visit). The rooms have a total B&B feel, so we felt as though we were very welcome guests in someone's home.

    Disappointing

We had a splendid seafood dinner here several years ago and noted that it was a vibrant setting. So we decided to come back for a stay. When we arrived and tried to make a dinner reservation we were informed that no dinner was served in the nights of our stay - the nearest restaurant was a 12 minute drive away. Major disappointment. In all fairness a closer examination of their website indicated hours of operation did not include the days we had booked. So I learned to be more careful when booking. A website (Expedia) listed this as a bed and breakfast but breakfast came at an extra charge. Breakfast food was good but atmosphere was lonely. One morning we ate in a large dining room where we were the only people. The other morning there was one other couple. Not the vibrant setting we had remembered. My wife finds stairs very difficult. Nowhere in the website did I find warning about the steep stairs that had to be climbed to get to our room. The room I chose offered a view of the bay-but it was through a small window and one had to be standing to see the bay.
