Great room but no close parking
We loved Premier Suites Glasgow George Square; however we were very disappointed that parking for our vehicle was so far away and inconvenient. Hotels.com indicated that parking was available, but in fact there really wasn't anywhere to drop off luggage with a vehicle. The Q-Park Jamaica lot is fine, but quite a walk from Premier Suites with two heavy pieces of luggage. How are customers reasonably expected to navagate that distance with baggage and no real unloading zone and time to do so? Aside from that, Premier Suites was a fantastic hotel in the very heart of Glasgow. We loved the room and cleanliness.

Disgruntled and Disappointed
We were delighted to be at such a centrally located hotel. The rooms were spacious, the view was HORRENDOUS. We stared at a black wall above the alley that had all kinds of noise from intoxicated pedestrians doing who knows what. We used the washer/dryer machine the first night we got there and our clothes were soaked after we tried to dry them using the dryer setting to no avail. I called the after hours number for help and was told my soaking wet clothes wasn’t an emergency and they would deal with in the morning. I remarked what if I was getting on an early flight what would I do with soaking wet clothes and was told but your not so why complain? Really? That’s the customer service? So they came up at 0900 the next morning w/o a technician and, once discovering I wasn’t fabricating my story their solution was for me to drag my wet clothes across the hall to an empty suite (with fabulous views), after 3 hrs of trying to dry my clothes (which I now realize never went through a dry spin cycle during the wash), I announced half of my day in Glasgow was wasted and I was leaving. They said housekeeping would take of the my clothes. No mention of calling a technician in to fix the washer/dryer combo in my unit was ever offered. I returned hours later to find my wet clothes still in the dryer across the hall! I finally got a clothes dryer (free standing wobbly stand) which I put my clothes on and waited until the morning we left to pack because they were still damp. RIDICULOUS!!

Property is excellent and very spacious. Only two things to note. There is a £250 deposit payable before check in. This is not a hold on a CC but an actual payment and refund. The request for payment came via email and text with click through links to their payment site. While these are legitimate this is a method commonly used by scammers and I believe it to be very bad practice to use this method to request a payment. I raised this with the onsite staff but they were not able or willing to discuss it. To be clear , while this is bad practice, it did not cause us any problems and I would stay here again.

Stayed for one night and would've liked to have booked for a longer stay. It was a bit noisy at night (you could hear the neighbors), not so much city noises. A little more up-keep would've been nice, but overall a comfortable stay.
