Great place to stay
Very happy, friendly people to check in. Great place if you're doing a bar crawl with free shuttle to and from close bars. Very clean place to stay. Free breakfast the next day, usually a buffet with pancakes, biscuit and gravy, eggs, sausage the usual. Right now 10/25 because of Covid it is prepackaged danishes, yogurts, drinks and fruit but still very good for what's going on. Pool and hot tub are open for fun. It is our go to spot for the bar crawl in Des Moines.

It was in downtown DesMoines which is a unique city! Our check in was easy and the room was extremely clean to the point I felt compelled to leave a tip for Housekeeping. The hotel was quiet and had all the amenities my husband and I required. Our two Corgis accompanied us and I had no qualms with them sleeping on the floor. Check out again was easy, respectful and quick. The bagged breakfast was thoughtful if not something I normally eat. We will definitely stay here again.

No tubs apparently. My mother prefers baths. Train passing by woke me up. Bed firmer than I like. And not verified but I will swear I heard a large rodent scratching inside the wall on my headboard side if the room. No way it was the room next door making noise as it was the middle if the night. Otherwise new build, clean and friendly staff.

The gentleman at the desk checking us in gave tremendous customer service through our stay. Staff was incredibly attentive to our needs. Hotel was clean and beautiful. A HUGE plus that the pool was open for a few hours each day!

I have stayed here for years. This by far is my favorite hotel ever. The staff is phenomenal, the hotel is clean and it’s within running distance to the Lake. They always remember me and make me feel like part of the Holiday Inn family. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone coming to DM!
