At the front door of the hotel they have guards to check if you bring alcohol into the hotel !!! We travel a lot and never had this before and we heard other western guests complain about this as this is very annoying. The hotel apparently wants to sell the alcohol drinks to you at higher prices than you can get it from the shop (Carrefour) next door. This "security" check every time we walked into our hotel made us feel like criminals. The room was clean and big but light around the mirror in the bathroom could be improofed. There were coffe and teamaking facillities but only one cup for two persons. We asked the cleaning people for extra cups. There were no glasses except for one glass in the bathroom for the toothbrushes. The sink was partly clogged for the ten days we stayed and the safe was locked in open position so we could not use it. We could have complained but did´nt. The hotelgarden and the swimmingpools are very nice and the staff too. Taxis cost usually about 50 dirhams to the Medina and to the new quarter Gueliez but be sure to set the price beforehand. We would not stay here again and that is only because of the alcoholchecking. At a 5 star hotel and any hotel for that matter you should be allowed to have your own drink of vine in the room you rented.

Savoy Le Grand Hotel is the best hotel in Marrakech in my opinion, the staff there are very attentive to all details! The rooms are so spacious and beautiful! I had a lovely time by the pool, it was perfectly cold for the hot weather of Marrakech. A special thanks to Murad the Relation Guest Manager, as well to Murad the responsable at the Metropole Restaurant, that made the stay there even more enjoyable! - Ihsane

Really nice hotel and staff such a loverly enviroment the only thing the pool could be warm was freezing pool outiside, warm water pool inside, enjoyed my stay and loved the hotel and my suite staff ever so freindly will defo be back at this hotel on my next visit ;)
