Gorgeous, weird, and delightful hotel. Would stay again. Adored the bed concept and the full-wall windows.

Great hotel, shame about the service!
Great hotel in a very hip area. An incredibly stylish and visually imposing property which is bound to impress. Beautiful and comfortable rooms, fantastic lobby, restaurant and bar. Only one let down for people used to staying in good hotels - the service!! It was far too casual with lots of kids in t-shirts on reception, which can work if they know what they're doing but in this case they all seemed ill-at-ease and confused most of the time. Not sure where they were meant to stand or what say and hardly knew how to use their own reservation system. It may be a result of poor training but more likely it's this new hip service ethos that seems to be en vogue in nice hotels, especially in London, but which isn't quite working in this hotel. Will definitely return as its one of my favourite hotels. They just need a little structure in the front of house operation. Overall i would highly recommend it as a place to stay. One of the best hotels in New York.

Public is Ian Schrager’s Masterpiece
I’ve stayed at Public 3 or 4 times now and absolutely love it. My room was in perfect condition and didn’t notice any wear & tear which is rare in hotels after a year or so. I’ll totally stay there again!
