Kilauea Lodge

Wonderful service at quaint forest lodge
Loved the lodge! Stayed there at a very low time for tourism (during volcanic eruption), so we never had a hard time getting in the restaurant. No crowds, so lodge was very quiet. We thought the service was excellent, especially Melissa and Debbie at the restaurant. We stayed in the 2 bedroom cottage and LOVED the extra space. Would have loved Meatloaf (the staff cat) to visit us at our cottage, but he mostly stayed near the main lodge. We loved the fully stocked kitchen, fireplace, and great space for game night or chatting by the fire. Thought the room was a bargain for the price we paid. National park was closed during our stay, but 5 minutes driving distance to national park entrance makes this an ideal location.

Great location for park access.
Room was great but a large family in other adjoining rooms so we felt like we were staying in their home. Couldn’t use common room. Internet very slow which we needed for work but owners very gracious and refunded 2 nights so we could leave early. Great location right by volcano park.

A great find near National Park
The Kilauea Lodge was tucked away from the main road, near restaurants and other small shops. The location is a very short drive from the National Park. The complimentary breakfast was delicious. We will definitely be back again.

Lovely accommodation with friendly helpful staff. Dinner in the restaurant was little disappointing.

Everything was great except for the fact that there is no elevator. Older people may not always be able to carry their luggage to the second floor. My husband wished they had a TV as there was nothing to do at night. we had planned to see the volcano at night but it was foggy and raining.
