The person who checked us in wasn’t paying attention he was on the phone the entire time we were standing there he also didn’t think to tell us that they don’t take cash app cards so I had an issue because the money came off my cash app card but they claim they didn’t get it so I had to contact cash app to get my money back

disappointing experience
I realized that there was no towel in the bathroom no hangers in the closet, no dish washer detergent in the kitchen, not to mention no sanitizer or wet wipes in the room which is a routine after pandemic. I am afraid the room was not even cleaned either. The staff were not professional if not to say impolite. In one word “avoid this hotel”

Good for the price but...
I had a great rate for a room at the Homewood Suites. They had self-parking for 25 dollars, this is good for DC. My only complaint is that TV could not do anything I wanted it to do. I could not even get an on-demand option to appear on their direct tv service.

We stayed for 10 days as we waited for our shipment from overseas to arrive in the US. This is a new hotel and the set up is very good if you wish to cook in your room for meals. We were a bit concerned that the hotel is used for Section 8 tenants but the folks that live here long term are families and respectful guests. Staff is very friendly. The only complaint is that the hotel is no where near Union Station or even the district called NoMa. You are about 10-15 minutes walk to a Metro station and a gentrifying area called Union Market. It's fine but not the area advertised by the name of the hotel.
