    Don't Go To the Brooklyn Hotel

    Room wasn't fully clean when I arrive, some light fixtures were still popping out of the wall, security at the hotel was locks and my personal property was stolen

    A Local Place to get some work Done

    The Brooklyn is a very nice boutique hotel. The decor is very trendy with NYC mural scenes on the wall.There is a microwave and Nespresso machine in the room. The storage space lends itself for a comfortable week's stay. The property is well kept. The surrounding streets are somewhat run-down. I needed space to complete business requirements, so I was pleased with this location.

    Nice comfy stay

    The room was cozy. The room had one chair. I wish there was an extra since there was 2 occupants. Out of two, one shower head didn’t turn on. Other than those small details my stay was enjoyable.

    The room itself was nice but the smell cigarette was all through the hallway. The toilet did not work properly and could not contact the front desk. Also the elevator did not work and my 91 year old father had to walk down the stairs.

    The Brooklyn Decline

    We’ve stayed at The Brooklyn 4-5 times and despite a very nice room, it continues to decline in general. There was no sanitizer in the hand stations. Our last stay the expresso machine didn’t work (small issue but no caffeine?!). Second one the brought was the same. This stay one worked, and we had one cup each for a two day stay. Room was not cleaned between days and no more expresso! Shower head only sprayed from half the head. And still no food downstairs (had some good stuff pre-pandemic). We won’t stay here any more, despite the proximity to Crown Heights. Maybe we’ll check it out in 2 years and see if the spiral continues or if there’s enough interest by owners to reverse the trend

    So i will give this hotel overall, 3 out 5 stars only because I liked the room. It was very spacious, big screen, big bathroom, a nice nespresso machine, microwave and mini fridge. I really liked the room. However, i did not like the hotel. The lobby was dirty, elevators are in bad condition and smelled like smoke. Our sink in the bathroom clogged. They were fast to come look at it though. The area where the hotel is located isn't the safest either. You shouldn't walk around, but once you drive 5 minutes or it stays to change. We could hear people all night in the halls and an annoying fire alarm was going off literally all night on our last night there and we got zero sleep because of it, so that sucked. Although the room was nice, i wouldn't stay there again.

    Annoyed

    My stay started out good until the fire alarm kept going off and when i tried calling the front desk he was not answering. I came out my room walong with another guest from their room who also was confused as to qhether we should be exiting the hotel or was the alarm just tripping off. The other guest tried to call tge front dssk and no one was answering this made my anxiety high. I expected better customer service especially after a long day and wanting to rest.

    Worst hotel in Brooklyn. Do not stay here.

    Worst hotel experience of my life. The hotel and the rooms stink of cigarettes. Furniture has cigarette burns everywhere and on the carpet. Loud music and partying all night long. Random people would try to open our door and bang on our door at all hours of the night. We heard what sounded like prostitutes arguing in the hallway. Elevator never worked. Nor did the phones. Security is a joke. Terrible customer service at the front desk. They did not care when we told them the issues we had.
