If there is a charge for “damages” for a stay of less than 12 hours I find it excessive 100 dollars really and a credit card where I have a 3% sir charge If you’re going to impose the rediculous fee at least have the decency to include it when someone is booking Also no mention of no parking And a clerk whose response to being asked where I could park was “ I don’t drive” Will never use hotels.com for any future stays

Great room but nothing more
The photos from their website misrepresent this hotel. The lobby area may have looked like that when it first opened but it is very tiny and worn now. Also, they advertised a bar and restaurant area but when i asked about it the employee looked confused and said "no we don't have that". I said it shows it on your website and he said "well we used to but it's been closed for a while now". This was very disappointing for me. I had to walk through that area to reach my room and it was there but no food or alcohol - just empty. The room itself was just like in the photos. Very modern and spacious. Also, extremely quiet. You could hear no noise whatsoever. Even the heating system was extremely quiet. The room was also very clean and the bed was comfortable. The shower was very nice. The magnifying mirror in the bathroom was broken and didn't light or stay up. Also, no instructions for the coffee maker. I could not figure out how to brew my coffee so wasted two pods and never got it to work. All in all, I got a great price for a Wednesday night and my stay was ok. I just wish the website didn't advertise something the hotel did not have.

Fine short stay.
Room was comfortable. The elevator was rough. Took the stairs mostly. On the third day when we didn’t get the room made up we called the front desk who told us we were supposed to ask. Didn’t know that. They then gave us supplies and did the room the next day. Good location.

The people at the front desk were nice. The room was very old, lots of visible wear on the furniture and appliances. The elevator was broken. The bed was super soft. The TV only had 2 channels. It was loud at night

disgusting horrifying mess of a hotel
The hotel was completely disgusting! From the minute we arrived we couldn’t breathe from the chemicals sprayed through the hotel. The room was VERY DIRTY dingy and old! The whole hotel is horrifying!!!! you can’t even go out in the neighborhood because there are bums, shopping carts, trash, and drugs everywhere! BEWARE you will get mugged if you even leave your hotel. There is NO PARKING so you have to park on the street and pray that your vehicle does not get broken into… my husband had to keep going and checking on it. Please do not dare stay here. You will be sorry.

I’d stay again
I was skeptical about the previous reviews but I took a chance. I was happy with my stay. Room was clean and it had microwave, fridge and iron. Staff was friendly. I’d stay here again. The location was perfect with a few Caribbean restaurants and train station. Be mindful of the train noise at night.

One side is right next to the subway tracks.No sleep at all. We moved to other side 1st floor. Loud talking outside our window and pot aroma very strong. Staff not very skilled in customer service. Towels are thin. I would not book again.
