Wonderful except for being next to the trains.

Very Good 8.0
Odd location but excellent interior.
The rooms are clean and stylishly decorated. I had great service from the front desk. The street the hotel is on feels a bit industrial/commercial — not at all residential or touristy.

thank you for upgrade. Suite was lovely for a family of three.

Fair 4.0
Not a win, although nicely modern.
My room was on the first floor just beyond the breakfast area with no security device on the door. The room backed up on a postal depot and homeless people loudly disagreed outside my room until 2am. At 5am the postal truck blocked the streets and cars honked for them to move. The shower (very nice decor) leaked onto the carpet and was wet before I showered. Because of the leaks, there was mold along the baseboard. The desk is lightly staffed and I got an answering machine when I called at 11pm about a person asking for help and someone yelling at the person to get up. The neighborhood doesn’t really exist, it’s a busy street of tire and car repair buildings.

Good 6.0
Great rooms and space , but too noisy!
We chose this hotel due to its proximity to Prospect Park and the Brooklyn Museum ( 10 minute drive) . Getting to the hotel from the airport was easy via train , it’s about a 3 block walk from the train station to the hotel. The room was very clean, spacious and modern. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating. The location of the hotel is on a super busy street and there is a LIRR train that passes right in the center of the street where the hotel faces. We did not sleep the first night due to the train noise , windows rattling and cars passing ( it rained so they constant passing it cars made it worse) . It was so loud that it sounded as though the window was open, we checked and it wasn’t . Our room was facing the street on an upper floor. Next morning I spoke to the front desk and they were kind enough to switch our room to a room located on a lower floor in the back part of the hotel. Noise level that night was bearable because the back part of the hotel is a neighborhood street, but the hotel should seriously invest in sound proofing the windows. On our last evening, there was an event going on in the rented space in the hotel and there were people hanging out in the staircase that was next to our room and we had the lovely smell of marijuana creeping into our room . We didn’t even bother complaining at this point because we were leaving . Overall the space is nice, clean and accommodating, but it was beyond noisy .
