Mediocre
Hotel is cute. Some of the work seems sort of rushed and on the cheaper side. Caulking is messy, closet doors don’t close, and overall layout seems kind of odd. The staff were friendly for the most part. We did have an issue upon checkout. We had been charged for an additional “pantry” fee that we didn’t make. When we brought it to the front desks attention they were happy to fix it, no questions asked. The only problem was it didn’t seem like anyone there knew HOW to fix it. After waiting about 20-25 mins they finally were able to adjust the total. Luckily we weren’t in a rush that morning or else it would have been extremely frustrating. I don’t know if i would stay here again. Although pleasant it wasn’t very convenient and usually prefer a place that i feel safe walking in the area. I definitely did not feel that way here.

Ok, but not again
The neighborhood leaves a lot to be desired. Our room was decent. The bathroom needed attention. I would not book here again. The staff was extremely friendly!

Don't waste your time or money here
The Brooklyn A Hotel was dark, dingy and the walls felt flimsy. It is in a light industrial zone, surrounded by auto repair shops and the subway tracks. It was very LOUD and not very comfortable. My plans changed last minute because my kid had a fever. I called the night I was supposed to check in and let them know I wouldn't be there until the morning around 5am. The man at the front desk said there are no refunds - I said that's fine - then he said he'd check me into my room so that in the morning when I arrived I could just go straight to my room and freshen up before my business meetings. When I arrived at the hotel the next morning, the woman at the front desk had no idea what I was talking about and said I'd have to wait until the afternoon to check-in. Additionally, they charged me a $170 no-show fee. The manager was unavailable and the front desk staff seemed very confused. I eventually got into my room, but when I checked out a few days later they still charged me the no-show fee. Unprofessional service. Poor accommodations. I will never stay at this hotel again.
