Great staff. Building is a bit old and dated but that's part of its charm.

    Super Japanese Experience

The location was beautiful and super easy to move around. The onsen was beautiful. Only the beds were really hard and the shower was kind of hard to use. But the breakfast was also amazing and the staff very kind and helpful.

The ryokan was quite pleasant, however bedding needs to be updated and cleaned. Pillow had stains and we had to ask for covers. We paid for the people but only got breakfast for two adults. When asked they said they couldn't give our 11 year old daughter food. We had to share our food with her, luckily there was plenty to share. 2nd morning they made a setting at the table for her and gave her soup like us, again we shared our food with her. Lack of their English and our Japanese didn't help.

This property is nice but slightly older. The walls are not sound proof and all night I could hear people snoring in the room next to me and going in and out to use the onsen and bathhouse. The staff are overall friendly but there never was anyone at the front desk when I needed help. The food was great and location is convenient for the ropeway and sight seeing cruise.

    Good proximity to transport options

Location and staff were great! Communication in English was very basic here. Found a layer of dust on the on the in-room information folder. Toilet lacked the bidet which appears to be usual for older buildings.
