It was newly decorated and charming. We would prefer a comfy chair rather than the barstools in the room.
There was no parking available. We consistently had difficulty locating hotel staff for supplies for our room. The room was overall nice, but needed some repairs and cleaning.
Great location, comfy bed, nice jacuzzi and tv. Wonderful staff. Room is starting to look a little tired... chipped paint on walls, pleather is peeling off of chairs, carpet in hallways (new carpet) is dreadful. Old carpet was better. New stuff looks like it was swiped from a 1980s horror movie.
Big rooms with tall ceilings. The rooms are clean and in working conditions. The hallways are dated, but add character. The convenience of the bar/pub downstairs is awesome. Sound carries from neighbouring rooms.
was a one night stay with family in Stratford- room was cute, clean and in the middle of town. Staff at hotel and restaurant were super nice, and friendly
Clean room and nice place to eat downstairs. No elevator.
We love the hotel. Very nice. The parking is a problem. The staff park in the hotel guest spots so we had nowhere to park. By the time we walked to the hotel and back (they told us they freed a parking spot for us since staff parked in guest spots) we had a parking ticket on our car for parking in a non guest spot. The hotel is reimbursing us. However it took us a full 40 extra minutes checking in to get this removed.
The staff at the Mercer were very friendly and the room was clean. Our room came with a fireplace that wasn't working and neither was one of the bedside lamps. In general there was a lite gas smell in the room upon arriving and the bathroom had a deep fryer odour from time-to-time. I'm assuming they both had to do with the restaurant downstairs. The staff did offer a different room at discount but it had a similar odour so opted to stay with the original booking. I'll likely try a few other hotels in the Stratford area before deciding if I would return their to stay. Would go back to eat at the restaurant. The food was delicious and well priced.
The stay was great, my wife and I loved it, we liked the decor, and it was cozy. Would definitely return. People were great. Perfect location. As a beer lover it was nice to have beer options to bring up to the room. Only thing is food was left in the fridge from previous customers.
Good service, room and location. The curtains allowed too much light for our liking.
