    Great visit at the Hyatt Place

    Breakfast was delicious. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly. The pool and hot tub were delightful. The location was fun and close to shopping and restaurants.

    Good hotel, just not as expected for my situation.

    Overall, hotel and staff were nice. Breakfast was great, but after checking in and then settling in, found the A/C was broken in my room. I think they knew this, just hoped it would work anyway. The room was quite warm. Changed me to a new room. Had to go back down to desk, get new keys. Back up to room, moved all my stuff to a different floor, other end of hotel, no offer for help in any way. Then, next day I requested to check out one hour later as I was using the room for a virtual medical conference. Because I didn’t call early enough in the day, I was told I couldn’t stay later because too many others had requested before me. Didn’t realize that, as I was only told when I reserved the room that it would be a possibility. Then, even though I had a “do not disturb” sign hanging on my door, the housekeeping staff knocked on my door twice before checkout time to see if I was gone. I’m guessing there wasn’t good communication between staff overall. What happened if I was taking a nap or showering? I paid for the room until noon, called the front desk to see about a late checkout, and hung a sign on the outside of the door. As it was, I reserved this room instead of staying at home so I wasn’t disturbed and could concentrate on the things that were being presented. It was more difficult for sure. The breakfast was great and everyone was nice, I just didn’t have the smooth “undisturbed” experience I was hoping for.

    Front desk staff was not there to initially greet or upon checkout. Had to wait five plus min for someone to finally come to the front desk to assist. Asked ahead of time to reserve a room so we wouldn't get an end room, which are smaller than other rooms. Still gave us an end room. I did not like that the hotel does not allow guests to use stairs as an elevator alternative.
