We really enjoyed our stay at these condos! While not super modern or updated, they had everything we needed to cook and stay comfortably. The ocean view was amazing and we really enjoyed the ocean pool. The staff was friendly and it was close to Kona and other sites around the island. Overall, it was a great stay and we really recommend Kanaloa!

Overall the hotel wasn’t what I expected. service wasn’t as great and it didn’t seem what I saw on the website. It was very disappointing it was clean outside but inside. I was happy at all .

The good: 1. good location 2. great view The bad: 1. A/C is extra charge, 26$/day, no clear communication of this in the property description 2. Cleaning fee is not clearly specified in the property description 3. Property is old, we found a cockroach in the kitchen every night 4. Disorganized management, we want to add A/C to our room, but no one knows where the A/C key is. The gate badge did not work the first day, it turned out the front desk did not register it. If you arrive after 5pm, the office is closed and check in process is unclear.

Nice size rooms but bathroom and shower very outdated. Also rooms are old and portable air conditioners dont cool entire place but better than nothing. The resort front desk closes so early like 4-5pm but then again so does everything in Hawaii. :-)

Unit #901
We stayed in Unit 901 we paid the extra and got the air conditioning. Unit and resort itself is nice but the pull out sofa is hard. The unit had some beach chairs and a cooler which was nice. Security is really strict about shutting down the pool right at 10 pm and the noise curfew. I liked the location of the resort as it’s kinda in the middle of the island so makes it a bit easier to tour the Island. Overall I was happy with the unit!

Big Island Blast!!
We had everything we needed...and more!!! Very clean..we ate most of our meals there and were thankful for all the amenities... blender for smoothies, beach chairs, cooler, washer dryer. The view from our condo was amazing!!! Both ocean and golf course.. the security man made his rounds each evening, whilst we played crib on the lanai.. this also made us feel safe!

Room was not overly clean, we did not get our mid stay clean even after we asked. We had an issue in the room which was not resolved during out 2 week stay, only after 12 days we were informed a part was ordered. Replied to a survey from Kanaloa which we started our concerns and we have yet to receive any feedback 2 weeks later. Overall after our 5th visit to Kanaloa, we were somewhat unimpressed. On a positive note the view and location are excellent.
