Convenient stay
Convenient (1 block from U2 stop) and generally quiet. A few problems: flickering light in room (came and went) was irritating; shower temp only got lukewarm; despite putting out DoNotDisturb sign, housekeeping entered earlyish every day - when I was showering, sleeping, etc. Found this odd and uncomfortable. Was a very budget stay for holiday, but probably wouldn’t stay here again.

This hotel is pretty bad
The hotel itself is the SAME hotel as the Novum Aldea - they are not two separate hotels, just the Style rooms are 'better' but they are still pretty basic - they do have a kettle though, but still no fridge. I stayed four nights and the cleaner didn't once take or change my dirty cups or replace the tea etc. In fact they just left it on the floor. They basically made the bed and ignored the tea tray. No iron, no fridge, average customer service. Worse thing is I have stayed here lots and keep coming back as it is near my office but every time I do I regret it!

Exceptional 10.0
Great hotel, excellent parking.
This hotel was easy to find and we found free parking under the overhead rail line in the middle of the road in front of the hotel. Once checked in we moved the car into the secure hotel parking. This is located in a side road by the hotel. Press a button to open the main gate, drive in to the underground Carpark, press another button to gain access to a very large underground Carpark. Heaps of parking with direct access into the hotel. For larger vehicles they also have above ground secure parking with direct access into the hotel. All of which is reasonably priced. This large hotel is excellent and busy when we were there. Reception is a mix of some helpful friendly people and others who seemed unfriendly, but they are ok once you crack through the ice layer. The room was very nice indeed, clean and comfortable with coffee and tea making facility. Oh and they don't top up what you've used. We didn't eat breakfast there as it was too expensive, but there are heaps of bakeries and cafes right nearby. There is a great supermarket about 10 minutes walk down the road, just leave the hotel, turn left and follow the road down to the big blue and yellow store on the corner. Lots of choices for dinner right across the road from the store. We found the best kebabs in Germany there. We also located a great laundromat nearby on our final day which is well priced and English friendly. This was an excellent hotel to base in as we were visiting things in a wide area.

Novum Hotel is a Scam! Stay Away!
This hotel is a total scam. I booked a double room, but they put me into a single room. When I showed them the pictures, they said no such rooms were available and they refused to offer me a refund or reduced rate. The heating in the room didn't work. The WiFi also did not work. The walls were paper thin and you could hear everything from next door. The bed was super uncomfortable - literally the cheapest hotel bed I've seen, as if you were lying on top of the coils without any padding. I ended up with a back ache after one night. The staff does not speak proper English and only one or two people speak English during the day. They were simply not interested in making the guests happy. I saw several other people complaining about their rooms. The hotel staff simply nitpicked with everyone and tried to say they were right and the guests were all in the wrong. Left such a bad taste in my mouth that I cancelled my booking early and I was reimbursed by for the nights I did not stay because the hotel refused to offer a refund.
