It’s what you would expect.
We were storm stayed in Claresholm recently. Small family run motel, we had to wait a bit for the front desk. It’s what you’d expect from a small town motel, no more, no less. There was a major maintenance issue in the hall with water seeping. Our room was clean and comfortable. A bit dated, a bit run down, but again....expectations shouldn’t be too high. The worst was it was very cold and the heater didn’t do much to help heat the room. Overall, the hotel was ok and was good in the pickle we were in with the roads.

The property was very old and dated, but was clean. The receptionist was quite nice. The continental breakfast was shut down because of Covid, so we were offered a Half a bag of white bread and 2 bananas. We declined - yikes!

Bad customer service
Travelling they called me saying if I wasn’t there by 11 they were taking the money and wouldn’t give me a key to a room if not there. The room didn’t look anything like the pictures. The smell was so bad as well.

This is a good 3 star motel. Old building. Newer rooms. Decent but still older. Very nice front desk staff. Comfortable beds 8/10. Toiletries are 6/10. Noise reduction between rooms and hall is 8/10. Location adjacent to highway but no noise. Price for room is very reasonable. TV is 9/10. Internet is shocking 10/10.

Didnt like: fridge had rotting smell, lamps missing light bulbs, breakfast was two over ripe bananas and two pieces of bread. Like: access to room from outside is very private and staff was very nice.

The property was to have breakfast included but because of covid they could not have the buffet open but provided a continental package with fruit, buns and juice for each person in the room. This may not be acceptable to everyone but we were happy to be able to still have a little snack before we left the room each morning. Overall during Covid it was a good stay. I would stay again.
