Beautiful 1700’s manor house is very well kept and clean. You feel like you’re back in time or in a museum. Our host, Simon, was wonderful and served us a superb Irish Breakfast. We loved the atmosphere and the authentic decor. We would love to stay again!

Ash Hill is an exceptional B&B. We spent one night here and wish our schedule had permitted a longer stay. This is a historic estate in a beautiful, peaceful country setting, yet it is close to towns with good options for dinner. Our host made us feel right at home, shared much about the estate's history, and treated us like friends. Our room was comfortable and beautifully decorated. The breakfast was excellent. We spent two weeks driving about Ireland and Scotland and this was one of the top two places we stayed. We would love to visit Ash Hill again if our travels take us back to Ireland.

My husband and I had the pleasure to spend an evening at Ash Hill. Although there are renovations occurring, same actually enhances the character of the property. The bedrooms and common areas are complete and beautiful as well as very comfortable. Nichole and Simone are fantastic hosts, and prepare a delicious Irish breakfast. Kilmallock is a wonderful town and the Ash Hill B&B is a jewel within this lovely town.

Beautiful, historic home!
We arrived late, and Nichole was gracious about quickly showing us to our room so we could get to bed. The home is gorgeous, especially considering its age. We truly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back.

Wouldn't rate as a 4
We were disappointed with our stay at Ash Hill. We only book accommodations rated 4+ by travellers and we wouldn't consider Ash Hill to be rated 4. The room was tired and musty smelling and there was no hot water. We informed the hosts of the water situation after our first night but it wasn't rectified by our second morning. Luckily we found another shower to use. While it was interesting to stay in an old, former castle, I caution other travellers to expect a renovation in progress stay.
