Azul Beach Resort Riviera Cancun by Karisma

We stayed here for our annual family holiday and we had a great time. We travel with our 3 year old and I gotta say that the place was perfect for us. The rooms were comfortable and well kept. But be aware that the rooms on the family section, although good enough, are not as updated as the rest of the hotel. So you might want to check if you are staying in the family section (building 4) or the blue/general section (building 3). Apart from that, the food was great on all the restaurants. The pool was huge and we never had trouble finding a spot to splash around with my kid. The Azulitos (kid's club) was a blast for him, and the Nick characters made him so happy. Me and my wife really enjoyed not having to worry about what to eat or drink. And also really enjoyed the family oriented ambiance. It was great that our kid could run around and splash and have other children to play with while we relaxed. Only thing I would have to point out is that the resort's beach has had problems with algae for a while. And we had stayed at another resort next to this one a few years back and they had the same problem. I guess is the location. So, if you are a beach person, you might not be as happy here. But for us, with a kid that love the pool, it was not a problem. We'll definitively come back next year.

Lovely place especially for kids. Would definitely come back.

Todo muy bien. La pena es que Le Chique y algún otro restaurante están cerrados.

No estuvimos en el hotel azul beach, nos mandaron al margaritaville, en general bien sin embargo cuentan con membresias y sus miombros son personas un tanto despotas que se creen superiores al resto de los huespedes.

We reserved and paid for Azul Beach Resort and when we arrived to the gate they said it was closed. The security guard told us we had to go check in at another hotel. When we got there they said that all check ins had to be done there and them i said but this is not the Resort we booked with Expedia.mx They then said that Azul Beach Resort was closed and that they were sending everyone to this hotel thats called Margaritaville Island Resort by Karisma. Never the less we were bait and switched. We had no choice but to pay because this was for my husbands birthday and we were very disappointed in this old hotel and we only had one night to celebrate. We will never again use Expedia if we do not get a full refunded of what we paid. This was a terrible experience and embarrassing for me and the kids to have one night with there dad that has cancer! I would never recommend anyone to this hotel.

The use of an app to communicate to the hotel services was AMAZING and the implementation of menus using QR code was also fantastic.

En ocaciones nos servían bebidas en vasos que tenían el sabor de la babida que ya habían preparado con anterioridad, o se notan manchas

No me gustaron los restaurantes, el italiano pésima presentación e calidad mínima al igual que el español, pésima calidad y platillos nada españoles con muy poco sazón, la zona de bbq de la playa está bien, pero sin calidad ni sin ser nada especial El spoon es un buffet aceptable con buena variedad. Estéticamente muy bonito, el chekin no fue muy agradable y el hecho de sentirnos menospreciados por ser locales, de Puerto Morelos, lo sentimos en casi todas las áreas, un poco malinchista, por ejemplo llegando ni bebida de cortesía nos dieron hasta q la pedimos al ver que a todos los demás si les iban dando. El personal concierne muy atento, pero de lo que tenía q ser a lo q fue, no nos sentimos especiales, pero disfrutamos las vistas y la habitación, lastima q un poco ruidoso el hotel
