Short Staycation
Our power went out during a local storm so we figured we’d make a staycation out of the situation. I had been wanting to check out The Line, so booked a reservation for one night. The overall ambience fits the AdMo scene, with a vibrant, energetic lobby/restaurant. Despite the noise from the lobby, the rooms (we were on the 2nd floor) were quiet and very comfortable. Thoroughly enjoyed our short visit given the conditions.

Very Good 8.0
We love the hotel and the neighborhood. The rooms in the beds are great The service people are all very nice and very friendly, but at times slow. I suspect that having a few more service people such as Bell hops and the individuals who go down to pick up the car for Veley service might speed things up a bit. This is not to say that they do not give good of good service it is just sometimes it seems the weight is a little longer than what would be necessary. This does not change our appreciation of the hotel and we are coming back in June and anticipate coming to the line whenever we return to DC The only other suggestion is better lighting in the elevators and the lobby area. It is sometimes hard to see the numbers on the floor indicators in the elevator so more lighting would be helpful there Looking forward to our next visit in June

Great Place To Stay
Everything from the front desk to house keeping was amazing. The only issue was with Valet and the care shown to my vehicle during a short stay. Still doesn’t take away the hotel and me coming to stay again.

Meh
The location of this hotel is truly it's selling point. As for overall ambience, this hotel is beautiful and the outside is very cool. I was not impressed with the service however. We were upgraded to a different room at check-in (for $50/night) and the only difference I saw was a couch. We also had issues with the room temperature our entire stay. We called just as we checked in and were putting our stuff away, the room was stuffy and warm. We were told engineering would take a look. The room never went below 72 degrees the time we were there. We also did not have water in our mini bar so we called to ask for a carafe of tap water and that took 1 hour and we then received sparkling water. Putting on a bra at midnight to go to 7/11 for a cold water bottle did not help my annoyance in paying almost $100 in "amenity" fees. I've stayed at many hotels, for work & pleasure, and did not find this one to be worth the price.
