We really enjoyed our 2 nights at Volcano Acres. The room was very comfortable, with heated mattress pads and soft, lustrous bedding. We made good use of the many thoughtful amenities, like flashlights for our night trip to the volcano, a cooler pack for our lunch and TWO suitcase racks!

The best choice in Volcano
This was one of my favorite stays of my life! The owners are friendly, awesome, and full of tips for the best ways to enjoy the things you want to see while you're on the big island. Breakfast is delicious! The room and bed were wonderful! I will always here whenever I come back to Volcano.

Great experience!
The service, amenities, breakfast and location were all fantastic. Theresa and Randall were very helpful hosts, their continental breakfast was GREAT, and you're less than a 5 minute drive to the park. My only issue with this area is that all surrounding restaurants are really expensive.

Our stay at Volcano Acres Ranch Bed and Breakfast was outstanding! We wanted a quiet getaway where we could enjoy all the Volcano area had to offer. Our bungalow was beautifully decorated and the extra touches of propane stove, sunroom overlooking the duck pond, mini-fridge and Hawaiian music playing when we first arrived set the tone. Theresa and Randy started off each day with an impressive breakfast spread featuring papaya fruit bowls, make-your-own breakfast sandwiches, waffles, quiches and various pastries. We especially appreciated all of the great tourist suggestions. I don't think we could have had better recommendations. We hiked the Kilauea Iki Trail, drove the Crater Rim, enjoyed sunset and then night view of the glow of Kilaeau from the Jagger museum. The next day we saw sea turtles at Black Sand Beach and then did bike/hike on the Kalapana lava flow. Watching the lava spewing from the hillside and into the ocean from the outlook was spectacular! Our last day brought us to Rainbow Falls and hanging out in Hilo. Each day Theresa and Randy shared there stories and suggestions and we are so thankful that we were able to take advantage of their ideas as well as enjoy the conversations with them and the other guests. We highly recommend this B&B! Just one note. The internet is enough to check emails but not watch movies, however they do have several DVDs to view including a personal home video of the 1960 Kileaua Iki eruption which really gives you a great perspective.
