Lovely VT in the quaint town of Woodstock. Very busy weekend as they were almost full. Had an excellent dinner at the Red Rooster. The staff could not have been nicer or more helpful.
Classic stately old hotel with alot of history. Dinner was average and they refused to take cash. Nice lobby with big fireplace. Grounds were very nice.
This is a fabulous place. This was my third time staying at this venue.
main complaint is Fox News is scrambled. They blame it on Comcast but they have a choice in cable providers and are clearly discriminating against their conservative guests by only providing liberal news (1st amendment?). I understand Woodstock is a highly liberal town but forcing guests to watch their liberal views is a disgrace. This country is supposed to respect all views, not just the liberal ones. Besides that, the Tavern food is sub par. Hotel is charming and employees friendly.
Quintessential NewEngland Charm... beautiful Inn, rooms are well appointed with very comfortable beds. Staff is very nice and helpful. The Red Rooster Restaurant on site is excellent. The grounds are neat and offer many places to sit , and relax- including an outdoor fire pit area.
Our room was very small. We asked to change rooms on several occasions and the staff completely brushed us off. We were actually staying for 4 nights and they kept saying they didn't have another room.
The Inn is beautiful but given its $600 per night including fees and taxes it’s not a great value. Probably better to go for dinner than to stay there. The Inn is well run and clean and they did a good job with COVID protection. Parking is a problem. All in all a very nice place but not extraordinary for the price.
Beautiful property....everything was lovely from the food, spa, pool and the accomodations!
Hotel was nice but covid 19 restrictions in the hotel and town made food options as well as entertainment options slim and hard to find
Perfect stay! Room and hotel were clean, beautiful and very cozy
