NEVER STAY IN A FRONT ROOM!
We reserved two rooms for one night (10/16/15) and requested they be in the BACK of the hotel, NOT on the street. We arrived and one room was available in the front and one in the back. How could we leave our friends in the front room as we took a back room. Consequently, we both took front rooms (numbers 11 and 12) and SUFFERED with extreme NOISE. This hotel is only one floor up from the street and has NO noise abatement in place--unacceptable for a 3 star hotel now. These rooms should NOT be rented--ever. We had ZERO sleep from 10:30pm until 4:00am--the noise was deafening. We left for the airport the next morning exhausted. We will NOT be back!

Quiet comfort in the midst of a noisy, fun Madrid
Mymhusband and I only spent one one night but love the Hostal Atelier. It was such a delight to come in from a very busy and noisy street to such a serene setting.mnomstreet noise and a very comfortable bed.

Tres bien situé, accueil très gentil, bouilloire avec thé et café à volonté dans la chambre, très bon grand lit. les moins: hôtel très sonore... pommeau de douche au plafond et pas de charlottes... pas de chaines tv en français.
