I believe this place is great, only couple of things didnt make happy; food on the buffet is repetitive and simple, but very tasty and fresh. The hotel chain has a loyalty/timeshare/travel platform that they try to sell from day one, the salesperson is pushy and will take some time to get rid of them. The hotel staff is amazing, best I've seen
Great staff. Hand sanitizers needed in eating areas
Very nice property: food is good and service is nice. Generally fast and organized, I never had to wait too long for a table or being served. However the chairs by the beach or pool were not sufficient for everyone, bringing others to “book” their chairs at 7 am and leaving others without. The regular rooms were ok, even if they looked outdated. The privilege rooms were large and spacious
Beautiful property. Good food. 5 minutes walking to Marina Vallarta to see the dolphins, seals and manatees. Overall great!
Provided free kayaks, catamaran. Had two buffets open all the time .
The beach is amazing .. Very nice staff.. We loved the creperie
Overall our stay was enjoyable. We arrived 3hrs before check in and they were able to get us in our room right away. The front desk staff and bell hop were very friendly and always around to help with anything we needed. Our room was pretty basic but had everything we needed, could tell that some of paint work had been done haphazardly. We were supposed to have a garden view room, but were pleasantly suprised by the pool and small ocean view from our balcony. The maids did a good job of cleaning our room and stocking us with lots of water. The pools were great and we spend much of our time at the pool swim up bars. Manuel was always on top of keeping our drinks filled and making us special shots. The only thing i did not like was the juice used for mixers, so we stuck to margaritas, or vodka soda with lime. The food was just ok. It was nice that they almost always had a place open to get food. The buffets, especially the open air ones had issues keeping the hot food hot, most of the time it was luke warm at best and sometimes even cold. For this reason, i liked using the made to order grill area they had. Also wish they had some hot sauce or spicy salsa because we are use to spicier food. The beach area was very small and we came during a time that a big seaweed bloom had hit, so we didnt spend much time here. The seaweed was not just a problem here, we also saw it when we spend the day in playa del carmen. Overall we were happy with our stay especially for the price.
I really feel like this hotel should be rated a 1 star hotel. The pictures on the website and on Expedia are really not what you find when you get there. We knew as soon as we got there that we could not possibly stay there. The beach is covered in seaweed that looks and smells like poop. The staff there say that the hotel is too small to have people cleaning the seaweed daily. The rooms are small that the two queen beds touch each other and looks dated. It looks like a run down hotel to me. The food was terrible we only ate dinner and decided at dinner that we were leaving the next day. Unfortunately we had to pay a penalty for leaving the resort early but there was no way we could endire these standards. The children's pool is a joke, a small corner carved out from the main pool.
there are a few things that I feel should be known when someone is going into booking this location. First, the good.. The hotel is nice. When you walk in you immediately feel comfortable and like you’re in a nice resort. On top of the good aesthetic, the staff is very friendly, so that also is welcoming. When it comes to the food and drinks included with the “all inclusive” it is really at the top of my list in terms of these types of resorts I’ve been to. You can’t expect 5 star food at an all inclusive, but nonetheless, the food was more than bearable for 4 days. The drinks, always made quickly and well. Great service from all of the bar staff. Entertainment was awesome. Around the clock options when it comes to this. Whether it’s staff doing things around the pool, or shows in the theatre, there is always something if you’re looking. Now a couple down spots... For starters, this is a big resort, so it is very difficult to find a pool or beach spot to lay out at or put your stuff down at. The disco that is mentioned as being on site, isn’t as expected. It’s more of a lobby bar/dance floor as opposed to an actual building/room like I’ve seen in the past. This last part is the main reason for my review being low. The beach. FILLED with seaweed leaving the water basically non swimmable. They make a slight effort to clean it, but it doesn’t work at all. You get a constant bad smell. If you don’t like beaches or open space, this won’t matter.
I likrd the location; the fact that it was in its kwn little compou d where you could take a 5 min walk into town was nice. I didnt like the fact that the we site was very misleading. Many of the amentities it listed were only available if you upgrade to priviledged which was an additional cost of $20/day per person. Also, the rooms were dated and even under repair in the bathroom that was not complete. While some staff were very kind and welcoming others seemed very putoff by the fact there were 9 in our party and seemed very put out by it.
