10/10 Exceptional

Mount Farm is in peaceful, rural setting and the accommodation is very comfortable. Holt is only a short drive away and has a good selection of shops and restaurants. Adam is a great host and made us feel very welcome.

Peaceful and relaxing accommodation
We had a lovely peaceful stay at Mount Farm. The location is very quiet and the welcome warm from Tony right from when we arrived. Breakfast was freshly prepared and delicious, and sharing the large table with the guests staying in the other room was not an issue for us. Overall highly recommended and we hope to return in the future.

Well satisfied
First class accommodation in an ideal location for visiting all the interesting places along the north Norfolk coast.
Historic ruin right next door.

8/10 Very good

The barn is in a stunning location - very peaceful, you can only hear the birds singing! I'd not spotted in the description that it's not the whole barn - there are two bedrooms in the barn, with a communal sitting room and dining table. If I stay here again, I'll book both rooms with friends or family, as then the shared garden table / sitting room / dining table would feel more comfortable. We were disappointed that some points in previous reviews hadn't been acted on (instant coffee in the bedroom, and having to lock yourself in to the room and the barn with a key every time you come in or out). We'd suggest other guests take a printout of their payment with them (we showed the owner payment confirmation on a phone but he couldn't read it, and suggested we pay again in case the payment hadn't processed which we found pretty odd). We had a lovely stay and I'd recommend the barn - it's a beautiful building in a very pretty spot, with lots of great beaches only a short drive away.

Amazing two nights
stayed for 2 nights whilst attending a wedding locally. The accommodation is stunning and like home from home. Tony pays meticulous attention to detail and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was incredible and the location perfect. Will definitely be returning in the future!

4/10 Fair

Overpriced, underwhelming, potential fire risks
The b&b’s high price and the website’s offer of of “superb luxury bed and breakfast” raised our expectations. Sadly we were disappointed: the mattress was very soft, the sheet had a visible rip at the corner, the duvet was poly hollow fill; the tea was fair-trade and the coffee just instant granules; the shower gel was thin and meagre and wasn’t replaced without asking; the glass top of the patio table was filthy. We had a laugh about breakfast: we emailed ahead to say we didn’t eat meat but would like cereal, yoghurt and fruit. What we got was a choice between cornflakes and chunky granola, and a small pot of fruity yoghurt each. The poached eggs were dismal - small, broken and cold on cold toast. The next morning we got a green banana each and on the last morning we ate our own strawberries. So much for ‘luxury breakfasts’. This b&b isn’t listed on or rated by any of the usual tourist sites such as VisitEngland and Norfolk Tourist Board site. It claims to be associated with ‘Britain’s Finest’ but its review on that site was discontinued several years ago. There were no fire exit signs, emergency lighting or fire information notices. Our host asked us to lock the mortice on the front door at night. There was no way of opening this without the key. We would question whether this b&b satisfies the relevant fire safety guidance for owners of bed and breakfasts (

8/10 Very good

Peaceful setting in unspoilt rural surroundings.
Our third stay in three years. Very good cooked breakfast imaginatively served but for those who like a lighter continental breakfast, a bowlful of fruit, yougherts and greater choice of cereals is missing.
